I just really don't think it's a moral way to go about everything. Selling your body just....disgusts me.

The oldest profession wouldn't survive if people didn't feel they were justified in paying for it. Pretty sad though.

Money is pretty decent reason, actually. If you are good at something, and you can make a good living at it, and someone isn't making you do it, then go for it!

You do what you have to in order to survive. I'd guess that only a small percentage of the world's population actually has the luxury of choice in things like this.

............for convenience no, ..........however, for absolute survival, and all that entails, I would not, even in dire circumstances, but I will not judge what other people do, it is an interesting posting.........

It's not something I would do, but it's none of my business. If people want to be stupid, let them.

A voluntary trade only has to be justified by the parties involved in the transaction. It's no one else's business.

As a matter of fact I know some people who were involved in the trade for many years.

did it surprise me. NO> They participated at their own volition.

My reaction, SO WHAT. It is their business.

I don't think any of the family members of these women loved it either. I'm sure they must worry on nights if their family member will return.

Any reason can be "justifiable" if your selling it instead of giving it away, obviously you need money for some reason or other

No there isn't a mortality rate either way. Some of the women make such good connections on the ship that they make better opportunities for their children, if not the entire family.

Rodney Dangerfield told a great joke about an rich, elderly jewish (and let's not get the hate started) man at a party. He sees a gorgeous, young woman, walks up to her and says "would you have sex with me for a million dollars. Not taking him to seriously, she replies "one million dollars for one time, sure I would." To which he asks "how about a thousand dollars?" She looks at him and says "Just what do you take me for?" His answer "we've already established that, now we are just haggling on the price'...
