I guess so. But I disagree with this part
"Not only is your man turned off by your tears, he also doesn't feel that sorry for you. Sniffing real tears didn't make men feel empathetic (no huge surprise there)."
Hubby's first reaction to my tears is to hug or cuddle me. He says if I cry and he looks blank it's because he's wondering why I am crying. He's a compassionate guy. Empathy? If I explain, then he becomes empathetic. Things like that are what communication is for.
Besides, I wasn't aware that men's sniffers were that sensitive they could smell tears anyway.

Did you ever break down in tears, only to have your partner stare at you with a completely blank look on his face?
Turns out, there's a scientific reason for this. Tears of sadness may temporarily lower a man's testosterone level, according to a new study.
While you're probably thinking that a gal just can't possibly look sexy with a runny nose, tissues and mascara streaming down her face, experts say it might have more to do with not being "in the mood."
"The signal is serving to time sexual behavior. It is a signal that allows its user to say, 'Now is not the right time,'" neurobiologist Noam Sobel, senior author of the study from Israel's Weizmann Institute of Science, told The Associated Press.
When men in the study sniffed actual tears, they found women less sexually attractive than when they sniffed saline. Their testosterone dipped, and they showed less activity in the parts of the brain associated with sexual arousal.
Not only is your man turned off by your tears, he also doesn't feel that sorry for you. Sniffing real tears didn't make men feel empathetic (no huge surprise there).
We remember reading a dating book once that advised single ladies not to wear black -- men are apparently attracted to bright colors. Sad but true: Guys like you more when you're happy.

Turn on because it is a good chance to make points with her. It never hurts!
You never know when it can turn her on, -- to think you really care.
Kind of like being on the rebound. She is so up set at something else, she sees you in a better way.
No doubt about this:
I've found that men have a lot of empathy when a woman cries over issues that do not concern their relationship. When its about the relationship,....expect the blank face-stonewall. They don't have time for that b.s.
