Opinions are like rectums. Everyone has one. There comes a time in a persons life when the individual must set goals and decide what they want in life. After they have done this, then must work hard to see that their goals come about.

That depends on what they are trying to do. If the objective is to get elected, pretending to support everyone's opinions is very important. Ignoring opinions would be disastrous.

To a degree. "To thine own self, be true." This makes for a happier individual, but to be "successful"; you have to do a certain amount of fitting in (and occasional ass kissing).

One should stick to the truth and ignore the opinions of others. To continue to grow as an individual you should not allow your own opinions to hold you back. Opinions should constantly be changing like the waves in the ocean as one gathers knowledge.

Sheer ignorance never benefits anyone. To be open to opposing views and opinions is to open oneself to options.

To be able to weigh options and determine which to accept and which to discard is key.
