    Perhaps it's because of my age that I still hold to the rule that a lady doesn't go out for the evening with bare legs.Thigh highs and stocking are great for 'ahem' other times.I do like the newer style panty hose give the appearence of stockings stocking without them slipping down AMR

    Well, it's a gender thing for me... I'm no Joe Namath! But I must say, I still think it adds something to a lady's look, even tho it complicates the end of the evening.

    I used to have to wear them to church growing up. HATED IT! no way I'm putting them on unless there is a damn good reason.

    I don't wear them, but some people have to, for their jobs....yes, more double standard

    I worked for years as an underwriter in the insurance industry, but we all dressed very nicely for the work place, suits, dresses or skirts...of course that meant nylons, but that was the look then, then luckily, they eventually let the ladies wear pants...but they had to be "dress" pants, or pants suits, and what you wore on top had some regulations as well....I would not ever want to "Have To" wear them again....I have had occasion to need
    to wear them in the last several years, and I always opt for the thigh high ones....no more being choked to death by those things...

    In the school where I work, it's either hose, or tights. Bummer, but I knew that when I accepted the job, so I just deal with it.

    There is very nice department store where I live, the working men all have to wear suits, and the women all have to wear skirts or dresses to no shorter than just above the knee, with, you guessed it, nylons, or tights (like nylons)...for the ladies.....personally, I think they should be allowed to wear black pants of a certain type...

    So if you have to wear either hose or tights, you must also HAVE to wear a dress or skirt???
