Who is going to throw the first stone, as I really do not know any true Christians, however I know loads of Jews. Starting with Catholic Jews, Protestant Jews, Baptist Jews and so forth.

The true Christian religion can only be found in the first two gospels of the new testament's. Christ created a religion that is very different to Judaism.

The real question is today's Christianity really Christian? That was lost many centuries ago by Constantine.

Since early Christianity is nothing like it is today, i.e after Constantine, not even those who think they are Christian, are Christian, not to mention real, then again, that opens up a whole other can of Bible worms, or any other brand of worms. Our whole system is a fiction, since there is no truly universal translator, which only begins for those who transcend this Universe born as light via the portal of the great mother unto infinite unity, but even that is pure creative potential meaning change, is omnipotent, balance, and practical application is the method, which means the teaching Universe has more to teach. There will always be new things to learn, when one stops that is the end. When I say transcend, I speak of a direct experience of the divine or Nirvana when the life force at its highest level can be experienced, and the limitations of separate self perceptions are not interfering with understanding but one is limited by capacity as to how much can be taken in.

They're the opposite. If I'm correct, Mormonism says that us humans can become gods, the true God says that He is the only God and no one else can become one. Satan told Adam & Eve they could become gods if they eat the fruit. They also believe that Jesus Christ and Satan were brothers, and that Christ is a mortal from another planet which would mean that He would have had to have parents which would mean that their parents had parents and their parents had parents and so forth making which would make Jesus Christ not be worthy of worship instead you would have to worship whoever made His great parents which would be the true god, its complete garbage. It may even be Satan's religion, like I said it lies saying that humans can become gods which is what Satan told Eve, and it has more lies in it that Satan tried to trick and temp us with. I apologize if I offended any Mormons which I'm sure this will, I have nothing against Mormons as a people, but I do not believe their religion to be true.

Even Glenn Beck realizes that Mormon doctrine is not Christian and has stated that his (cult) beliefs are opposed to true Christian doctrine. They do not believe Jesus is God which the bible clearly teaches and is fundamental truth to the Christian church. The founder of the cult was corrupt and maintaned that corruption. CAN A CORRUPT TREE PRODUCE GOOD FRUIT? It sure can mimic it and appear to be what it truly is not. Many Christians believe Mormanism is christian because they have not studied the history and the false docrines propigated by it. They can sound like us, look like us but are not Christian though the WORKS appear righteous. Satan can appear as an angel of light and he did when he appeared to Joe smith, the founder of the cult. Moroni appears to the 14 year old joseph Smithworks righteous satan angel light appeared joe smith founder cult

If Mormons believe JC is their Saviour and the only way to Father is through the Son, then OK!

Christians accept Christ as their savior, they do not believe that one day they will be gods.Christian dont believe that black people are from Satan.Mormons may carry a KJV bible but they read and teach from the book of Mormon and the pearl of a great price. Oh , and Christians have never heard of an angel called "Moroni" although there are some Satanist who call on a demon by the same name. True Christians dont join secret societies, it is a known fact that Joesph smith and Brigham Young were both Freemasons. the masonic symbols can still be seen on the salt lake tabernacle.

Christian doctrine is characterized by the Old and New Testament. The canon of Christian scripture was closed with Revelation. Any additional manuscripts (i.e. the Book of Mormon) to the Word of God is in strict opposition to the Christian faith.

    Mormons are Mormons. Not Christians.

You ask because they piggy-backed their religion onto Christianity, presumably.

    As did Islam.

And Christianity was an outgrowth from Judaism.

All tribal religions borrow from each other. Are they Christian? I guess so.

Ehhh... I'm not sure that I would call them Christian.

Then again, I don't want anyone deciding to categorize my own faith for me, so I'll extend the same courtesy to Mormons -- if they want to call themselves Christian, I can't stop them.

As much as any other denomination that calls itself 'Christian'. 2 thousand years later, I think His message has been perverted terribly. I agree with Larry Flynt....Jesus is coming again, and boy is He pi$$ed!

Just for the sake of debate....what if they are right, and you are wrong? Their 'messenger' was far more recent, the words have had less time to be twisted, are they the first people that the Creator has cared enough about to send a messenger to?

No, our creator sent His only Son to all of humanity. It is up to each person to accept Him as Savior.

Before Christ, God sent messengers called prophets, the world did not receive them either. Jesus said to His followers, it's not you the world rejects, it's Me (Christ). However, I'd rather be rejected by this world and accepted by my Father in Heaven.

That's fine, but the beliefs of Mormons differ from Christianity. I've had people angry at me on this issue before (not on here, in person).

We disagree on many things. People that are a part of the Mormon Church that aren't serious about their faith, they really think it's the same thing. Those who are deeper involved are the ones I have spoken with. The beliefs they share with me we do not agree on. On the surface all seems alike. When having an actual conversation one can plainly see the difference. As I said earlier, it's just a simple no. We do not share the same faith.

How can one read the bible and add the book of mormon to it and not find differences. I've never read it, only going by what LDS have shared with me.

We believe that Jesus Christ is Jehovah, who gave Moses the Ten Commandments, which reads in part, "I am Jehovah thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me." - Exodus 20:2,3

Joseph Smith is not the same thing. Jesus Christ was born of an immortal Heavenly Father and of a mortal Mary. No one else can claim that for themselves. This is the "Mormon" doctrine.

Some Mormon scripture, and then an individual's deciphering of it. I mixed my reading and the deciphering to come up with an opinion.

    I must have misread both.
