There are awesome qualities associated with men who are "real men", yet who are also, as some people say, "in touch with their feminine side".... guys like that... like me... are more able and more likely to treat a woman right... and more able to be open-minded with LGBTQ and more accepting...

I am a man who can take care of my own, myself, my family, etc... I can and have race(d) cars and can handle and shoot rifles, shotguns and handguns... I can handle a knife well... I have gotten into more than my share of barroom fights, worked as a bouncer in 2 clubs... and much more...

Yet, I can readily admit that I can cry, too... that I don't feel like less of a man for it... that I like flowers... I can cook, clean a house, do laundry, etc... I can sew and iron clothes... I enjoy writing, including poetry... and I am damned proud of those facts...

Thank your Feminist sisters for it too. I know I am one who grew up ashamed to be a man, felt guilty for being male, was told I was a rapist for having sexual thoughts about women. I was crushed. I never once asked a woman I was interested in out. I always waited for them to make the first move. I was married twice. Neither has been happy. Both wives were strong personalities who later wished I would be the assertive one in bed. In a sense, I am glad I can no longer perform.

These metrosexuals today are really giving us a bad wrap. That being said, if the woman weren't looking for these pretty boys that like to cry on their shoulders.... That is the product they are going to get. It used to be attractive to a woman if a man had hair on his chest but now most want a fully shaven man that is in touch with his feelings.....

    The men of the past:

    east

    boggar

    wayn

    conn

Would you see any of those guys doing this:
    metro

    These guys do:
    "Men" of the present:

    hobb

    Newm

    Newm

It's true....you always hear women say..ehhhh I want an emotional guy... yeah...until they get so weak they can't carry them anymore... then they start whoring around behind their emo boys back!
  • Steve Todd Pa... 2013/01/30 19:59:11
    Steve
LOL! And what type of guy do they run to? The total opposite of what they were told they wanted. I hear it all the time from woman. They find these "Men" than after a while it wares off and they realize that they don't want a man that looks in the mirror more than they do or needs more attention then them...... That's what you get when society tries emasculating their males.

I sure think so generation x had men generation y and x has cowards. It's most of the guys look at them care too much about their appearance like females. They post on these social media sites talking about how they look better than other guys wth. If I was straight I would rater date someone in their late 20s or 30s or 40s.

Many are GMA or Morning Joe pussies. Some are even CBS This Morning pussies, and watch just to see what heels Gayle and Norah are wearing.

Nope, and if you say otherwise you are claiming that YOU are a coward.

Neither men nor women can be called pusillanimous. Men who may exercise their freedom of gender expression has absolutely nothing to do with someone's moral courage or sense of mental acumen. Femininity is not weakness-- it's equal to masculinity. Balanced individuals have a bit of both.

Also, men who are effeminate or anything less than hypermasculine are not inferior. shakes head gif

Humanity consists of men and women who are independent, confident and intelligent--the human race is FAR from weak.

i wouldn't characterize all young men that way.
so much of what we grew up with is being slowly
conditioned out of society. too much is wrongly
labeled (looking at a hot woman is "creepy.")
while girly stuff like eyeliner, purses, and leggings
(search "meggings.") is trotted out to men as
    progressive.

you mean people like Edison and Tesla weren't motivated by a desire to succeed? I never heard anyone call them fems. NO ONE ever doubted thier intellect either as i can determine so explain how the feminization of the American male is actually progress in any way shape or form? I am actually curious to see how this can be rationalized or explained. I don't confuse moral courage with physical courage, I am neither Naive nor stupid and realize ejther quality exists in different proportions in different people. The whole point of the post is why are men adapting to and being feminized as time passes and society is embracing the murder of the "typical" male.

that wasn't the point of the post. I served as a US Marine and never had a shyness issue when I cried at the end of ol' yeller. the point of the post is that men are actually becoming openly effeminate in many ways, which is unrelated to being in touch with your inner child.
