They are inexplicably annoying. Especially when they are spammed, recycled, and regurgitated again and again in slightly different ways which can't further emphasize that originality is despised.

Oops. I meant to click Wonderful. For the most part, but, some are confusing and some just don't make sense. People apply them to the wrong situation, and it makes them awkward.

Internet memes, like it or not (I personally don't like it) have become a part of pop culture. There's no getting around it.

That being said, the sharing of information to millions and billions of viewers provides one of the most comprehensive databases of humor, intelligent conversation, and deep, insightful philosophies from the otherwise squelched voices of the masses.

Many I see are hard to figure as they strike neither my sense of humor, irony, happiness or anger. Some few (like Oskar the Blind Cat and John & Schoep) are memes that add a smile to my day.
