Golliwogs dolls have made a comeback after being banned in a worldwide crusade against racism.
Stores along Queensland's tourist strips have reported a heavy sale of dolls, particularly to visitors from abroad, News.com.au reports.

' Billy Bunter' for example that it is a slur on all white people as they are being portrayed as fat, ugly and greedy-which is associated with Billy's character in the books!
No SENSIBLE person believes that 'Golliwogs' are what a typical ethnic minority resembles-no more than a doll of 'action man' or 'Superman' -looks remotely like your average 'white guy.' Absolute piffle!!
Note that I stressed 'no sensible person' thinks that Golliwogs represent those of ethnic minorities. If there ARE individuals who DO believe these dolls are representative of such people, then those individual really are way beyond any help that can be offered them..
If someone wants to get creative how about a green version called a pollywog or a white version called a lily-paddy. Remember you heard it here, first ;)
Personal story - during the 1970s we had this great reason to get drunk on a weekend. A group of us would search out those racist black lawn jockeys. Once we found one we'd steal it off the owner's lawn. We'd take it home or to someone's garage and repaint it as a blonde haired, blue eyed, peach colored jockey. We did a nice job and would get drunk doing it. Then once teh paint dried or the following weekend we'd take it back to the owner's house. Besides a fun thing to do on a weekend we felt we were changing people's view of these offensive lawn ornaments.
I had a golliwog doll when I was growing up nothing racist about it..
Who cares?
Why is the colour of the doll such a big deal?
Enough of this already.
