Is it too old to shave? No? Then it's not too old to wax. What's with the stigma against waxing? The only way it's different from shaving is it lasts longer and is a bit painful...

This is a PARENTAL ISSUE, not a public one. There are no health risks that I am aware of inherint in waxing. If I am wrong please let me know. If there ARE health risks.

Why impose adult beauty standards on teens? Women shave to look SEXY, why do you all want 15 yo. girls to look sexy? Going natural isn't a sign of being dirty. Not shaving doesn't make you any better of a person. Not shaving doesn't make you any less beautiful.

I don't shave to look sexy. Maybe you're just caught up in your own ideals.

Then please all knowing 15 yo., please tell me why do you shave? Is it because it looks better? better to who?

Do I think it looks better? Yes. Not sexy, but better. Plus I like the smoothness. It's really as simple as that.

That's like saying girls under the age of 15 are too young for shaving. Puberty sucks, so when that unwanted body hair starts appearing, get rid of it. The method of removing it is personal-which is why I don't wax-it's painful. Now do young girls need to go out and get a brazilian, hell no! If I had a daughter that age wanting to wax off her entire crotch-I'd sew it shut!

I started at 13 just because you wax your legs instead of shaving doesn't mean anything bad it means that you don't like accidentally cutting yourself while shaving

Thinking back to the damage I did to myself when I started shaving (30 some-odd years ago)... you bring up a very valid point! But back then, it was shave or bleach... no other options.

I'm 15 so I guess this topic pertains to me but I still remember walking into school and getting pulled aside because I had blood on my pant leg very embarrasing so I don'shave anymore

It depends on what they want to wax, most 15 year old's can do it in the privacy of their home with parental (mother's) help. Others can go to a beauty salon for their legs and arm pits or eyebrows, but I can't see a teen getting a bikini wax done at a salon so it all depends on what they want waxed.

As a guy, I remember being stoked at that age when I got my first razor to shave what little beard I had at the time. Girls at that age want to feel beautiful and when you think about it, it's pretty harmless.

It actually depends on the background (National Origin) of the subject. Some Eastern European gals begin to start looking "too old" before they are even 25. Show me who it is, first; and then tell me what exactly you want done. Okay?

Its all part of growing up, if you think about it girls and boys are legal to have sex at 16 and that's still pretty young, so what's wrong with waxing?

If they can shave, then they can wax, and considering that many girls are likely to start shaving around the beginning of middle school, then waxing under the age of 15 is fine. Under the age of 10-11 or so though... I'd probably say no as a general rule.

As long as it's what the girl really wants, and not just her mother, I think it's fine. It's just an alternate hair removal method to shaving. If you're old enough to shave, you're old enough to wax. And as far as I know, most girls start shaving around 11 or 12 since that's when the hair on the underarms grows and the leg hair gets darker. That being said, of course those 6-year-olds in beauty pageants are too young to shave or wax. They haven't even gotten the hair it's intended to remove yet so it's pointless pain.

I started waxing when I was 11, it's better to have some else do it and some one who knows what they are doing. And trust me at my age girls in Brazil start getting Brazilian waxing, the mothers want to keep them young (that's the reason)

if their leg hairs are growing then YES. its like saying should a 12 year-old be allowed to shave their armpits. i say YES. unless you want your child looking like this girl with hairy legs or like this girl with hairy underarm

And what is wrong with people looking like their natural selves, especially CHILDREN. Why do we impose ADULT beauty standards on kids? It's like if we said it was ok for your 14 yo to go outside with a g-string and bikini that only covered the nipples if it was the cool thing to do.

i know. lolziez. but sometimes you have to put exaggerated pics to get your point fully across...with a bit of comic perks to it too. XD and it CAN get that bad if the person doesnt shave or wax or whatever at all. but i was just trying to make a point. :P

I'm not talking about a few days. I've waited longer than that and I've /never/ once looked like that.

Anyone who does might want to consider getting some prescribed doses of estrogen.

lolziez. that would be gross. some people get hairier than others though. if they waited a couple of weeks or more to shave some people CAN get that bad. but i dont mean they should HAVE to if they dont want to. thats up to them. but im saying they should be ALLOWED to shave or wax if they want from whenever they start growing hair (which is usually under 14) to 15 and above. they dont HAVE to htough. like i said i think to the other person, whatever floats their boat.

No, lol. That's probably the time when they need to. I started shaving when I was 8, didn't wax until 3 years ago. If you have noticeable leg hairs, you're gonna do everything to get rid of it.
