Are Drive-Thrus Convenient or Lazy?

But I'm not a fan of fast food.

I could go inside, but I prefer to use a drive thru. It is faster, and I don't always have time to stand around waiting.

If not in a hurry, go inside. Also drink your own soda in car. Not pay $2 for a small Coke.

Everyone's whining about gas prices but they will sit in line with their engines running for twenty minutes at Starbucks. Idiots. We have parents who arrive a half an hour early to pick up kids and they sit there, in their cars, engines and AC running. Idiots.

This way you don't have to wait for hours in a sweaty, loud crowd, but enjoy every moment in your comfy car seat with some air conditioning and perhaps some music as well.

They give people who are in a rush and hungry a quick chance to eat. O_O Don't underestimate the power of drive-thrus

as a mother, I have found the convenience of NOT having to get my children out of the car on the way home nice.
I do not eat fast food regularly... never have... but it's nice to be able to pick something up and remain in the car sometimes (like something to drink on the way somewhere).
My youngest son always falls asleep in the car.
Sometimes the weather is horrible (raining really hard or ridiculously hot).
& sometimes I'm in my PJ's or something else i'd rather not be seen in... like when i'm all sweaty from work or from moving day.
Drive throughs have been around for a while now... and i don't always use them but it's a nice option.

Gets more people what they want and faster. Nothing lazy about it.

Lazy is just a derogatory term for efficiency.

It's not that people are lazy. Sometimes, you don't have the time to get out, go in, order, and wait for an unexpedited order.

Well you have to get out of the house to get to the drive thru so it's not all laziness

A less then five minute walk would do the majority of people good before they ingest chemicals and grease.

So if the person gets to where they're going, they don't have a five minute walk to their house or office?

Most people park in their drive-way. It's like a 5 second walk to the front door. But I see what you're getting at :P

These are simply the dumbest idea to begin with.

I'll go inside if the drive thru looks packed. I always get it to go. Why on earth would I sit inside a fast food restraunt and eat inside?

Most people don't alone, but often do if they're with some friends.

When I don't have time cause I'm running around it helps to have a drive-thru

Convenient when your drunk and have no wheels, you grab a shopping cart and tadaaa you get fast cheap and easy food at 3 am

Lazy or convenient depends on the individual. Convenient for me when you're on the run, just order and go. But, I hit a fast food joint maybe once a month, if that, such crap food.

If you're in a hurry its better to just go in the drive thru.

When you have to buy for the family its easier to go with the drive thru. This way you dont have to worry about droping anything on your way out the door.

Occasionally I may use a drive through for a quick soda or deposit at a bank but I almost always go inside. Often the drive thru is backed up and I'll go right in and be served immediately. People always think the drive thru is quicker but their laziness keeps them from figuring it out. It works for me.

I always thought so..but I guess kind of both..

Plenty of good reasons to go through a Drive-Thru instead of going inside.

I like to go into the business, that way I am not rushed and can check the order. On a drive thru it seems more mistakes with the orders.
