Are Co-Ed Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties Cool, or Ruining a Tradition?

Catch My Party 2012/07/27 16:00:00
In this day and age, can’t we all let loose and celebrate together?
It’s your last hurrah, it needs to be just you and your BFs getting crazy!
You!

I’ve been to both, and personally I prefer a traditional bachelorette party. How often do you get to have that much fun with just your girlfriends? Those are memories I will never forget.

Need some fun bachelorette party ideas?

You ever notice how the word "spouse" sounds so much like "louse." I guess it fits when that future-spouse will be bugging you about stuff.

That said, I'm so lucky! You may glance, but I know that there's no attraction. Mwahahaha!

Oh, and she's not much younger than you, so she just needs a little experience and maturation, I think.

    I am pretty awesome aren't I? :3 <3

She just seems a little judgmental is all, probably go away with time. Seems to be in a relationship with a good guy (so she says, and I don't make it a habit of assuming people are lying) so best of luck to her.

Look Lady, your husband may not say it in front of your face( which is gute etiquette), but alle through one's life, be they men or women, are going to LOOK at the opposite sex. At the beach, in the mall, etc....To be so insecure as to think otherwise is something you must work on. Just because the opposite sex LOOKS, does NOT mean they have bad morals. It means they are HUMAN!

I do not have friends that would hire strippers or go to any part with them, but there are traditional games that go on at a shower that are just better when it is all women. That is kind of why I think it is better for them to stay traditional.

I've never been to a bachelo® party without it being co-ed. I sure as Hell don't want to see them take their clothes off.

My wife is cool. I love her to death, but unfortunately, we weren't going to spend more on Bachelorette or bachelor parties than our actual tiny wedding. But, If we had a choice, we would probably both go to a strip club together. Maybe for our one year. lol.

If the bride or groom wants to invite their friends of the opposite gender, why not? Not everyone goes to a place that makes the other gender uncomfortable for their bachelor/bachelorette parties-- though if you plan to, I recommend you don't invite the friends that would be uncomfortable.

Separate the dudes and the chicks. Life is too short and you will soon be co-ed for the rest of your life.

I had no interest being at my wifes bachelorette party. She sure the heck wasn't coming to mine. Thankfully I only remember half of it and it was all before cell phones.

Actually it is up to the bachelor/bachlorette on how they wish to celebrate the event and doesn't matter to me as long as they agree.

Well, technically, those particular parties are supposed to be thrown by the best man/maid of honor, respectively, I'm pretty sure.

I've never been to a strip club for a bachelor party. That's kind of a common misconception among women. A bachelor party is a chance to go have fun with your friends without checking in or worrying about trust issues or making sure your fiancé is having a good time or whatever before you commit to having a nag in your ear for the rest of your life.

The whole point of a bachelor party is for it to be a "stag party", and for the groom to be able to have a "last hurrah," not under his fiancee's eyes.

Since peple have sex and stuff before marriage, there's no "last time" of something before marriage

I remember my bachelor party, a surprise my buddies put together for me. They literally swooped in, picked me up and took me out for an awesome evening. My fiance's last comment before I left? " Just you keep your pants on."

Whatta girl! (BTW, we're still happily married)

It defeats the purpose of the event. How silly! If invited to a co-ed party, I would find something better to do.

I don't know what tradition? A lot of my friends did not have bachelorette parties, just a group of very close friends getting together doing silly things at someone's home or office not at a club. I guess we were square and out of touch women.

Co-ed parties to celebrate blissful marriage -- call that the wedding.
When a guy wants to have his last few hours with his guy friends, he doesn't want any women around.

When you put the two together it becomes just one more engagement party.
