again i think it depends more if the person is trashy ...
belly button rings are easy to hide, if you go around wearing little sluty tshirts then yes you as a person are trashy and jazzing up your middle makes you look more trashy
but if you only show it when wearing a bathing suite or while in your undies then i think there sexy.

Like many others have said, it depends on the person.
On girls who show it off all the time, have tons of tats and piercings? Trashy.
But I have one, and the only person who has actually seen it is my boyfriend. All of four people even know I have it (two of those are family!). I don't have any other piercings (besides my earlobes), nor do I have any tattoos. Am I suddenly trash because of this piercing? I certainly hope not!
Body modifications do not change character, imho. The person is trash or class before the piercing or tat, and just remains so after.

I use to hate them and I always begged my GF to take her's out. After awhile I really started to like it and I actually notice more when women don't have one. I hate tatts and piercings, but the belly button ring won me over.

They are functional too...like this one...just in case your vagina has bad dreams.

I think it depends on the person. I also believe they are one piercing that is sexier kept a secret. I do find them sexy on certain people, but I also find that many people I meet with them are not really high caliber people. Nothing wrong with being sexy, but without substance, style gets old real fast.

I have one, so my vote is SEXY! LOL! I think at 40 I get to do what I want regardless of what others think, and it's under mt clothes, so....unlike a nose ring or something that's out there all the time.

I've got 10 piercings (all above the neck) but I could never really dig belly button rings. Trashy is a bit of an over statement, but I mostly just think they look painful.

No offence to those who have em, none at all, I just don't find them sexy. Nothing about them being trashy. I've seen some people with them that ARE trashy as much as many more who have them who are not. They just aren't alluring or appealing or even good looking to me.
