Two students were said to be "deeply disturbed" by questions they were confronted with when filling out an at-risk survey that included questions about sexual health and practices.
The survey was not made by the school but administered by the school as part of a federal grant providing social services working toward "community-based prevention, intervention and education services."
But is 7th Grade too early to be questioning students on sexual health or right in keeping with the times?
A middle school in Massachusetts is under fire for requiring children to complete a graphic sex survey -- without parental knowledge or consent -- that included questions about sexual partners and oral sex.

As a parent, you will know then the timing is right and sex conversations become necessary. Each child is very individual, and I would have been appalled and the first one at the school throwing a fit it my grandson would have been given this survey in the 7th grade!!
Only two students said they were deeply disturbed by the survey. The majority of students would either find the survey funny or stupid, but they would not even care after a week or two.
Might be a bit tooo graphic for 7th graders WITHOUT parental consent, SPECIFIC to such agraphic survey
Once the answer to that question is known, then our schools AND parents can help our youth be more responsible in their actions.
it's somewhat ridiculous, but no, i do not think that we are too you too know about we are doing.
Jr high kids should not be subjected to this kind of thing.
the whole world reads these posts, not all countries have an american grading system
13 years of age is considered the best time to indulge school children in sexual health lessons.
On reflection I can add, it must be a good age to educate children or it wouldn't happen all over the western world..
In some African / Indien and Muslim states children are married at this age...
