How exactly have the scientists figured out a way to date rock-an inorganic material-going back 40,000 yrs? And if that was the case, that would throw out all the other so-called dating they've made on the bones.
Anyway, art is a creative expression, in music, or an unlimited array, which I believe God shared this ability with us, from Him, since He's the creator.

Yes Homo Sapiens and Homo Habilis are in the Hominid Family along with many other primates but I wouldn't regard them as human as we are two distinct species. I would want more than their ability to make rudimentary stone tools. Australopithecus garhi have been found with tools near them and they date back a few hundred thousand years before Homo Habilis.
