Apple Sells a Record Two Million iPhone 5s in 24 Hours: Is Apple the Greatest Company Ever?

It is a company that violates human rights and labour laws.

They are the best at telling their clones what they need, when it's really not the best product on the market or their clones really don't need it.

Once you adjust for inflation, East India Trading Company easily beats Apple in almost any measure of "greatest" company.

If you are going to use the term "greatest company ever", you better understand what you are implying when you say "ever".

People wait out side the stores for +24 hours to buy sh*t they don't need and yet they stay at home not fighting and protecting their freedoms.

They are not the greatest company ever there are just two millions idiots in the world, I have an iPhone 4s (a very nice gift from my family for doing well in my exams) but I don't think its the best phone in the world, its the best phone I've ever owned because it works, I have no interest in getting the new iPhone because it looks the same and I don't need a more powerful phone. You should compare PC's to Mac computers in the same way you compare PC's to games consoles, sure games consoles/Mac computers are good at a few things and are fairly easy to set up but PC's have much greater versatility if you know how to make them do it.

I'm not much of a fan of Apple. Their products are expensive and easily breakable. The only thing I would by that's Apple is their tower PCs.

let me tell you why I use Apple products first and fore most... RELIABILITY, then there is functionality, customer service, durability, resale value.

I used PCs for years and never had nothing but trouble and headaches, compared to Mac OS windows is archaic. Ive used Macs for 20 years and still have the origional G3 tower I ever bought and with the exception of a power supply (that I replaced for $50) I have never had any issues with it. and it is still used in my studio today along with three G5s and 4 MacBook Pros. and in 20 years I have NEVER had a virus on ANY Mac I have ever owned. Plain and simply compared to PCs Macs work and they work reliably and flawlessly and thats just not opinion thats EXPERIENCE.

As far as phones again I used blackberry, I used droid, my kids use samsung which are pieces of S#*T. After buying and using an iPhone I will never use another brand....why?

They make the best computers by far, but greatest as in best or biggest, nope.

Used to be an Apple-basher along with all the others until I finally got one after being urged by my kids. Love it and don't desire to return to Windows OR Android etc. Just sayin- fantastic stuff.

I really don't understand what it is that could possibly have convinced you that it's so great. I've been using computers and other electronic gadgetry, of all varieties, since the age of 6. And I don't think I've ever encountered a product so astonishingly overrated.

Somebody mentioned it before, this company has only one thing working in it's favor: marketing.

What the message meant was that it likes to have the glowing Apple logo and is willing to pay top dollars for it, and also maybe taking it to starbucks just to feel very classy and zen. It also means he most likely wasn't an Apple basher because every Apple basher i saw so far had reasons to be an Apple basher, and they were right.

I will NEVER purchase anything from Apple. Espcially after this greedy lawsuit against Samsung over their smartphones. And I just purchased my Samsung Galaxy 3!

they are the greatest scammers of all time , they put a judge in their pocket and are now trying to corner the phone market cause their crap sux. next month that will unveil a new phone with two more features they could have easily upgraded your current phone to but you will be dumb enough to buy the whole phone to get it

Yes they are a great! Company? Not because of there new phone but because of there old phones. Half of there sell isn't the marketing but the fact that. Everything works! I have owned multiple(at least ten) apple products including computers phones and pods and I have never encountered bad customer service or a non working device that couldn't be fixed in 2 minutes over the phone. They are a great company and because of that they can sell a phone to 2 million people

I'll give them props for marketing to the usual, casual idiot consumer who spends almost a thousand dollars on an iphone, but I do know one thing, they ain't the best to me.

Retail for no contract is near the 800 range, 200 for contract with smaller GBs

No, but they have a great marketing department that makes you think you need to replace your phone even though it is still working well. They are selling you something you absolutely don't need.

I haven't tried the 5 yet but the 4s leaves much to be desired as does my iPad
