Anti-Cheating Rings: Would It Actually Work?

If you ever worry that your significant other might remove their wedding ring in a tempting situation, TheCheeky might have just the thing to keep you calm. Their patented "anti-cheating rings" will leave an imprint of the words "I'm Married" on the wearer's finger when the ring is removed, making it literally impossible to cheat. Did we say literally impossible? We meant to say slightly more difficult.

The product page reads, "The negative engraving on the inside means that when you are in the 'Club' and an attractive woman... or man comes along to chat, slipping your wedding ring off is not an option ... Made of strengthened Titanium. Life time guarantee, ‘til death and all that." And it'll only cost you $550! But would it actually work?

.... All they have to do is not wear it.

Also, people, seriously, this IS YOUR SPOUSE. NOT your DOG.

You do not OWN your spouse.

Skin irritation would be my biggest problem with this ring design.

Impressive idea, but some people cheat while wearing a wedding ring. A locked chasity belt might slow some cheaters down.

How will THAT keep people from cheating, like SERIOUSLY?!?! A mark is not gonna do anything. >:(

An impression can wear off. If you really want them to be unable to take their ring off, get them drunk and take them to a tattoo parlor and get "I'm married" down their ring finger. :P

Seriously, though. If they really want to cheat, that's not going to stop them and if someone wants a married man/woman then they're going to go for it even if the ring/impression is there.

It's a funny concept and a good novelty, but if a cheater wants to cheat, an impression ain't gonna stop them.

From all the replies here, how COULD you trust anyone? All the comments say everyone is going to cheat regardless of ring or trust level!

That's just plain silly. People can cheat wearing a big diamond wedding ring. An anti-cheating ring?

    Seriously silly, daffy even.

I have had more women flirting with me after see my wedding band than before I got married. Some women think it's more of a challege to get a married man. Others just think married men are less likely to tell anyone. My ring stays on no matter where I am, any woman trying to get me to cheat had better be better than my wife, and that is not likely.

seriously????, about as well as chastity belts. Aside from that, if you don't trust him/her then you shouldn't be married anyway so then it wouldn't be a issue to waste any brain cells on.

why don't you just have a chip put in each other when you get married so you can track each other all the time. Or just be branded.

If you feel the need for your spouse to wear this ring then maybe you need to rethink who your married to. And besides whores don't care if a man is married anyways!!

The only thing it will help with is divorce. If my spouse suggested I wear this I'd start filling out the papers. No trust, no marriage.

it's the same concept as a lock: a lock has never stopped anyone, it just keeps an honest man honest...

A honest man does not need incentive to be honest. He either is or he isnt honest. And that mark on the finger will most likely go unnoticed or simply ignored by the other women.

If any guy is going to wear this crap, they might as well put their balls in a vice and display that publicly as well. The fact that there's no wife ring like this only serves to prove my point.

ooh theres definitely an easy way around that. They can take off the ring, slip on some other ones on the hand, and voila! Covered marks until it fades away.

And SERIOUSLY. If you NEED a ring like that, why did you marry the person in the first place? I foresee a bad breakup in the future...

Dude, its like concentration camp numbers for married people. No baby I love you, I just don't want to lose you so I slipped a little tracking device behind your ear while you were sleeping. That imprint is nothing baby, just my undying, crazy, stalker love. Till death do us part. That or your tracker shows up at a local pub.

Shoot - my wedding band has changed the shape of my finger like putting a rubber band around a gourd! "Pale white circle where he wears his ring" is a line from a song; not reality - only a recent newlywed still has a "pale white circle". Us old-timers are permanently deformed :o)

This may come as a surprise to you, but there are many women who purposely go after married men. It makes them feel like they've accomplished something special because they've managed to divert a married man's attention away from his wife and towards her.

They only work for the Jeweler who makes them or the store that sells them. The guy who buys it is admitting guilt. Not too smart.

Cheaters have the wherewithal to find other cheaters who have no concern for either's spouse should they have one.
