Anti-Cheating Rings: Would It Actually Work?

If you ever worry that your significant other might remove their wedding ring in a tempting situation, TheCheeky might have just the thing to keep you calm. Their patented "anti-cheating rings" will leave an imprint of the words "I'm Married" on the wearer's finger when the ring is removed, making it literally impossible to cheat. Did we say literally impossible? We meant to say slightly more difficult.

The product page reads, "The negative engraving on the inside means that when you are in the 'Club' and an attractive woman... or man comes along to chat, slipping your wedding ring off is not an option ... Made of strengthened Titanium. Life time guarantee, ‘til death and all that." And it'll only cost you $550! But would it actually work?

.... All they have to do is not wear it.

Also, people, seriously, this IS YOUR SPOUSE. NOT your DOG.

You do not OWN your spouse.

If its leaving an imprint doesnt that mean it would hurt? Besides all he would have to do is not wear it and honestly have some trust in your spouse!

It might lower their chances of finding a willing person, because some people won't sleep with a married person, but If they find someone who Is willing to sleep with a married person, than what good Is the ring then.

The fact that people think they need an anti cheating ring to control themselves from cheating is ridiculous

Unless they took the ring off or rubbed the words out.

How long do you think those imprinted words would last? They could be scrambled by adjusting the ring a few times. Then there's the matter that women are actually more likely to approach married men.

I think the designers of the ring considered only the cases where men take the ring off right after they notice a pretty lady. They probably failed to consider that men will pocket the ring on the way into the club, or on the drive up there, giving plenty time for the edema to wear off if the men in question aren't diabetic. (In which case edema often is strongest when sex drive is weakest) Which is all moot when one considers that women who are looking flings will instinctively find the married man more attractive as it ascribes status to the male in question... Then again I'm repeating myself there. Sleep deprivation kicking in I guess.

People ware purity ring, but it doesn't mean they are virgins, so why would a simple ring stop a person in a relationship from cheating. It should be committment that stops someone from cheating, not a ring.

..of course it won't work; a marriage is in the heart, not on the finger... it's just a way for someone to make $550 dollars with no heavy lifting...

I'm thinking that if you don't trust the person enough to not cheat on you, perhaps you shouldn't have married them in the first place. I sure as hell wouldn't marry someone who didn't trust me to that extent that they needed to physically imprint me as their property.

If there is that little trust in the relationship you should not be getting married to begin with.

Or you know there is that whole open relationship or polyamory thing that can happen between people who trust eachother enough. It has worked for me and my partner and we are both quite happy with this system :) If you cheat, there wasn't enough there to keep it going, move on to someone who won't do it or that you trust enough to have an open relationship or a poly relationship with. There is no excuse whatsoever for cheating.

ok yes and no.. if the man has no intention of cheating theres no reason to take it off, and the question should be would a woman who is pursuing a married man care if he was married??

"I'm Married", Wedding rings, etc, that is like an aphrodisiac to some people (usually more so w/women than men). The only type of "ring" that might have any chance of working, would have to be an electrified cock ring that shocks a man's genitals when he is about to cheat. But even then, some guys would eventually build up an immunity to it & cheat anyway. LOL

All they have to do is just not wear it for a long period of time. If a woman has to do this then she obviously doesn't trust her husband and probably shouldn't have gotten married.

It really depends who it is that wears one, but if the couple is truly strong, the effect will not wear off!

It merely calls for advance planning. Even if the ring was through the nose, it will not make a dishonest person honest.

It might not work for the one wearing the ring, but it would make it easier for the person on the other side to know if they really are married, not everyone is out looking for married men/women (as some posters might lead you to believe), some people actually want to build a healthy relationship. However, if you NEED this in your relationship, then maybe you should question more about it than you already do.

If you are one to cheat, you are one to lie. If you can't trust your significant other, then you shouldn't marry them. If you ask your significant other of many years to wear this wedding band, what does that say about your marriage. Marriages are failing everywhere because of the lack of trust between a husband and wife, which is stemming from the selfish notion that you can always get a divorce if things don't work out.

of course it depends on men/women actually being of strong character, and saying 'Hell no, you're MARRIED! Get the hell home to your wife/husband, you should be ashamed!'

I never understood guys I know who's girlfriend cheats on them going after the guy they cheated with...it's not his fault in any way, especially if she lied and said she was single (99% chance). That goes for both genders. YOU know you're with someone and that should be enough to keep you faithful. Perhaps I'm strange in that way.
I've just never dated a girl I disrespected enough to cheat on, and never dated a girl who respected me enough NOT to cheat. #Jaded

Damn, this many people says this this a bad idea. Perhaps the reason I'm still single is that the world is full of unimaginative people?

On third thought, you may all be correct. Remembering painful memories, I recall that my ex-fiance was still wearing her engagement ring when she met me to return it, with her new boyfriend in tow. So, i guess it really doesn't matter.
