Anti-Cheating Rings: Would It Actually Work?

If you ever worry that your significant other might remove their wedding ring in a tempting situation, TheCheeky might have just the thing to keep you calm. Their patented "anti-cheating rings" will leave an imprint of the words "I'm Married" on the wearer's finger when the ring is removed, making it literally impossible to cheat. Did we say literally impossible? We meant to say slightly more difficult.

The product page reads, "The negative engraving on the inside means that when you are in the 'Club' and an attractive woman... or man comes along to chat, slipping your wedding ring off is not an option ... Made of strengthened Titanium. Life time guarantee, ‘til death and all that." And it'll only cost you $550! But would it actually work?

.... All they have to do is not wear it.

Also, people, seriously, this IS YOUR SPOUSE. NOT your DOG.

You do not OWN your spouse.

Next to the "Pet Rock" and the "CD Rewinder" (honest, available at Big Lots for $1.99 made in China, of course) this has got to be the most hilarious and ridiculous idea anyone ever came up with. And He/She will probably make a mint from the sales. I expect to see a " I'm married eraser" on the market soon.

Anyone that would consider wearing such a ring is down right stupid. My wife would never have expected me to wear such a ring. What if your spouse dies or you get a divorce. I guess it isn't permanent but you either trust me or you don't.

might as well make him/her wear a collar and give the other a leash.
And pick up after each other too.
    woof.

I've ever heard about purity ring. I knew some of celebs who wore it, but does it work? I don't think so. If some wanna cheat, they will cheat. Whether there's this ring or not. Some people would lose their virginity, although they wear the purity ring. It doesn't always work if the person who wears it didn't have any commitment to.

Anyone who would say, "Sure dear, I'd love to wear one of those rings to show my undying love for you" would never cheat anyway.

I might work but it is insulting and if you think you need it you're marrying someone you don't trust. Also there are ways to get around it working if you are dishonest enough.

if a person is going to cheat they're not worthy of being in a realtionship in the first place and it just shows the level of the person's scruples, if you cheat, you're nothing but a lowlife sewer rat and just crawl back under the rock where he or she came from, been done to me 3 times and its not nice, its just being rude, self centred, ill mannered and by in all importence just wrong period

Okay well there are men/women who would date people even if they know they're married. So...a ring won't work, they would need an alarm system or trust

a ring is an object that can easily be chucked in the trash, a gutter, a well, the ocean, a lake, or anywhere really, but its the feeling of fidelity that counts.

Uh..no. If someone wants to cheat, they will. There are easy ways to cover it but the most important factor: some people don't care if the person is married or not, especially if the one who cheats is the one night stand or casual sex type of cheater.

Horny people generally don't care if their target is married or not. Unless they're married to a bodybuilder that is.

These only really benefit the maker of the rings and to bolster fragile and fearful egos of weak women who would be better off unmarried.

The ring, or its imprint, will usually make no difference for those inclined to cheat. Even if the ring stays on, there are plenty of people who lack ethics and will have affairs or one-night stands with married people. For almost every unethical married person willing to cheat, there is an unethical single person out there who will help them cheat.

Why do you say unfaithful folks seek out SINGLES to be unfaithful? Plenty of married do it with OTHER married folks.
  • mpurkays Rdtourist 2012/07/05 13:31:31

No, I didn't mean to imply they "seek out" singles. You are right, an unfaithful person doesn't discriminate and will cheat with whomever they want to cheat with, single or married.

Look at what has happened recently. Obama wanting to censor everything that HE deems untrue. And many of the politicians that are supposed to do the will of the people and that means the majority of the people and they do not even listen. They are corrupt and too many people are corrupt and most if they didn't start that way would become that way. To some extent so THEY could make something from it.

If someone is having to spend $550 to insure their spouse isn't screwing around on them, their marriage needs more help than wearing one of these rings will provide.
