The blog-o-sphere is still chirping about the bird shirt Ann Romney wore on CBS' "This Morning" on Wednesday, and the fact that it was hideously ugly wasn't even the news. Ann Romney's silk shirt costs $990, Styleite reports.
Critics say wearing the shirt -- part of Reed Krakoff’s spring 2012 ready-to-wear collection -- was a particularly foolish move for the first lady hopeful, as she and her multi-millionaire husband struggle to relate to average Americans. Meghan McCain, an MSNBC contributor, slammed the shirt on Lawrence O’Donnell’s "The Last Word."
"She needs to be a little more cognizant of the message she’s trying to put out, just given the economic recession that we're in and everything that's going on," McCain said. And this is just when we'd forgotten that Ann drives a "couple" of Cadillacs. Do you think her pricey bird shirt is stylish -- or stupid?

Last month at the Kids’ Choice Awards, Michelle Obama wore an outfit designed by New York-based, uber-expensive designer, Wes Gordon. His clothing commands prices in the thousands of dollars and can only be found in the elite stores of the super wealthy. If you enjoy spending more than $4,000 on a pair of shorts…yes that is three zeroes after the comma…then you might like this little jacket from one of Michelle Obama’s favorite designers. It's probably not fair, but maybe if romney made a few less gaffes, they might not have this problem.
The Romneys' first son, Tagg, was born in 1970, while the Romneys were undergraduates at Brigham Young, and living in a basement apartment.
Romney earned his money and his education.
Barack Obama is not from a poor family either his grandparents paid his way as well.
Face it poor people do not go to Harvard and especially without a scholorship.
There is no record or mention of Obama recieving a scholorship, and Harvard is too expensive to be covered by student loans by themselves.
Romney recieved a Baker scholorship for educational excellence.
There is a different public perception. This is not a pissing contest about who had more money. The romneys have a problem that the obamas do not have.
Romneys dad paid for most of his but did not pay for Brigham Young because he did not want Romney to go there. Romney did because that was where Ann was so he worked and paid for that part at least himself. Then when he went to harvard his dad picked up the taab again because he was back on the track his dad approved.
Obama has created a distorted perception of being a poor kid when he was nothing of the type and is just as 'out of touch' as Romney if not more so because Romney worked for his and donated his entire inheritance to charity along with taking no salary as govenor.
Michelle Obama is very fond of and wears many "reasonably" priced lines of clothing. In fact she is often seen in J-Crew. It is just unimaginable to me how blindly married to Mittens many of these far-right Republicans are that they can't even admit that the Romney's are 100% out-of-touch dilettantes.

third The baker scolarship recipients are available online, on Romneys wiki page there is a link, and Romneys entire past and school records are available for anyone to see unlike Obama who is too ashamed of his to show them.
Obama is Obviously out of touch as well he came from a rich family who owned 3 houses his step-dad was also very well off being in the Indonesian government after working for the Oil companies.
Michell wears J-crew (pop star wanna-be) while Ann knits her own sweaters, very American mom'ish.
He came from a rich family of Communist sympathizers his dad was a drunk with multiple DUI's the last one fatal. He did not work duriing college so he survived on money from his step-dad who was an oil company executive, and his grandparents. He has never run a business balanced a budget or even lived on one really because more money was a phone call away.
Romney worked as a security guard and built his business without his fathers money, matter of fact he donated his entire 100 million dollar inheritance to charity. In addition to that he did not take a salary as govenor.
You are the one that is a poor judge of character and Obama is out of touch.
Romney was self made..he accepted no inheritance.
He also did missionary work in France.
It continues to shock me how many make comments..yet have done NO research.
