This is the Olymipics, right? Started with the Greeks, right. The animal thing started later with the Romans. Yes? Isn't that right?

Regardless how moronic as this question sounds, "This is a new one on me"! The idea of animals "competing" in the olympics itself is absurd!

If it's trained animals against other trained animals. Not animals and humans. And of the same species.

I don't know what's more silly: asking a question like this, or taking the time to answer it.

Uh, no. I don't want to see people get eaten alive. Because that is what will happen. BUT- how about an animals-exclusive version of the Olympics? If you can make sure the animals actually participate fairly without hurting them in any way (animal rights activists would be the death of you otherwise), then go ahead. It may (hopefully) be able to answer the question that has plagued mankind for all of time... Who would win in a fight? A bear... Or- a gorilla??

It was first made up by the Greeks who believed that man was everything. Why would we let animals compete?

Good luck getting the animals to line up. Humans would still win just b/c they can follow the directions. But it would be pretty funny to watch them try to do this....a guaranteed disaster.

Are we humans going to be even bigger dumbasses and terrorize these wild creatures even more so? We've already destroyed their habitats, killed them for fur, and is it really that necessary? Can't we find other forms of entertainment? When's the last time someone picked up a book?

I don't think they were serious and the original article was just a commentary on how human's aren't as fast as animals, etc.

On the book comment....apparently you can't read the article...so that doesn't bode well.
