Angelina Jolie's 3-Year-Old Daughter Vivienne Wears Lipstick: Harmless or Horrible?

I'm not understanding how its horrible?
Kids play with makeup all the time.

I played dress up all the time as a kid, and I didn't turn into a materialistic prostitute. People need to stop trying to raise other people's children.

Sounds to me like she is being a good mom and letting her children choose there own clothes and such. I was putting lipstick on my daughter when she was 3. She loved it!

Shows a lack of good parenting. No 3 year old child should be allowed to wear lipstick.

Well females are the ones who start playing with it, so if you wish to stop perpetuating a myth; And fourther more this proves something about female phsycology(spelling error).

They start doing it because they are subjected to a lot of crap about women and beauty. Girls should be doing doing just about anything else than playing around with make up.

My girls were getting into my makeup, nailpolish and all of that when they were Vivienne's age, nothing to it! Actually looks as though she ate too much of that red licorice!

And what are they doing today?

My oldest is in college for massage therapy and my youngest is in her first year of pre-med. Both were honor students, could draw and paint and played musical instuments. Why?

My daughter went through college and law school in 6 years and is now a practicing attorney. She did it because she didn't waste time trying to attract boys and look like an adult. She has married a CPA who loves her. Not bad for a girl who really didn't act at all feminine when she was going through school.

My daughters really aren't that interested either. They played with makeup like they played with other toys. Neither of them have someone in their lives at this time both feel that school is enough, plus, they have seen the nightmares that their friends have gone through with relationships and don't wish to repeat it. Just because a child plays with makeup doesn't mean they are going to be boy-crazy or not pay attention to their futures. But you do bring up a good point. I think we as parents have to nurture the belief that education is key and not looking good and attracting a partner, that was the problem in the past, girls were supposed to find a husband as soon as possible and graduate with an MRS. degree. Thankfully that is not the case now. Congrats on raising a level-headed young woman.

Let's just give all of our underage girls the tools for attracting older predators. Better yet, let's just give them a pole and make them drop out of school and tell them to start practicing. Then put them on the pill and give them condoms. Let's even buy them Noah Cyrus's line of lingerie for 9 year olds.

Yes it's harsh, but there is a reason most parent will NOT let their daughter wear make-up until a certain age. Kids need to have fun by being kids, not pretending to be adults.

Give me a break! My daughter had to wear the same hand me down "twirl" skirt almost every day when she was 4 and I remember my little bro sporting a certain super hero costume for almost a year when he was that age.

Although it does confirm Angelina Jolie's obsession on lips. Maybe precocious lipstick made HER lips grow.

Rush Limbaugh had planned to call Vivienne a "slut" and a "prostitute" on his radio show today, but then somebody told him that Angelina and Brad did not want the Government to pay for the lipstick. Rush then retracted and asked Angelina to come on his radio show to flash her legs for his audience!

If she had a facepainting of 3 different designs on top of the other nobody would give a damn, and if just about anyone other than Jolie let their kid do it, nobody would give half a damn unless they were paid to!
