My son is gay, and just announced his engagement after a 4 year relationship. The gender of his intended has no relation to my support for his marriage.

It's his life, and nobody else's business. I love him and wish him all the joy life can bring. If you don't want that for your own children, you're not a parent.

I don't see why its anyone elses buisness if the couple gets married. The couple will still be together they just dont get rights. Like if the partner dies they can't decide what to do with all the things they had the family does. Also if they're in a serious situation in the hospital they can't sign the papers saying its ok to do a certian procedure without being married. People just need to accept it and the video gave good reasons of why there is no excusse not to accept it

Ha! Priceless. I guess I'm just lucky. My state of Massachusetts was the first to legalize gay marriage and somehow I have managed to not "catch the gay" yet. My marriage of 35 years somehow survived.

A satire video, yes. But the purpose is for people to actually use real argumentation in favor or against Same-Sex Marriage. If you have a reason to be against Same-Sex Marriage that is reasonable (like the one you presented), then Okay. If you are against Same-Sex Marriage for any of the reasons presented in the video, I recommend a re-visiting of those ideas.

Marriage is a tradition and though out history there have been same sex marriages in many societies, including Roman and Greek and others as well. The church also presided over same sex marriages up to the 1400's in Europe. So gay marriage is a tradition and always has been.
