When users outnumber producers, we become just like the Soviet Union. Uniformly poor with no incentive to improve our lot.

Of course he made millions. He's very good at what he does and worked hard. Good for him! Now, get out there and go to work and you too can be very successful like Bernie! You should not condemn the wealthy, with the exception of greedy politicians, you should respect them for improving our lives with their creations, appreciate them for creating jobs and wealth and admire them for their hard work. Happy New year!

Yes, you have no idea if McCain would have us in Syria or Iran because he wasn't elected. Obama has placed us in Pakistan and Libya. (Have you noticed that since Bush left office we no longer hear reports about American Casualties on a daily basis?, interesting since last October was the bloodiest month since the war started, but I digress) Yes, Romney IS indeed on record as saying that he would not have bailed out the auto industry. That would not have put thousands of workers on the street. It mean that they would have filed bankruptcy and reorganized. Now we have the Chevy Volt which you and I are paying for.

MUST? I would work 3 minimum wage jobs, clean houses, collect aluminum cans or whatever else I could do before I applied for disablility and taught my children that committing fraud is OK.

Oh that's right because a job that requires no education, no skills and very little training should pay what? $10/hr...$15/hr? Great, so let's incease everyone else's salaries too because otherwise it wouldn't be fair, right?

Actually around 15-20 hour should do it. Less than that you can't be individually responsible. We will pay them that anyway for healthcare when they walk into the ER uninsured, etc.

If the minimum wage was increased to $15 or $20 an hour people would lose jobs and small businesses would fail.
There are many people who make minimum wage that are self sufficient. They actually realize that they can't afford a 5000 sq ft house, shiny new car , 65" flat screen or $200 Jordans, nor do they feel entitled to them just because other people do.

I applaud you for the great example you are setting. And disability should only be for the truly ill. I guess I talk to so many people who are struggling and desperate that many are acting out of desperation.

For those of us unemployed, maybe we should join the group of disabilities to claim the social security we won't receive in the future!

Those of us qualifying now realize no one knows when they will be checking out. If you do the math, if you wait the 2-3 year period to collect full SS, it will take years to make up the amount you could have drawn in that early time. When they first initiated SS, people were not living as long and they were gambling that they would rarely have to pay it out. Our stellar government at work for the people, NOT!!!!
