Ladies everywhere are sporting pixie cuts for the summer and celebrities -- never to be behind on trends -- are following suit. Anne Hathaway and Miley Cryus have both been spotted with cute shorter 'dos, and Alicia Keys is the latest to chop off her locks. Check out the pics she posted to Twitter and let us know if you prefer short hair to long hair. (Ms. Keys certainly makes the case for short hair!)

As a woman in her early 60's with extremely curly hair that I prefer to keep long, due to my own individual tastes, using good shampoos and conditioners with no sodium laurel sulfates helps a great deal. I really don't care what others think, first of all, because what they think is unimportant, and secondly, it's my hair that I have to live with and wear, and they don't. Changing one's hairstyle just because other people think you should doesn't help, imho.

A womens hair is her beauty I think! It doesnt' matter how long it is. Hair does make a person. Personality does! It crazy these dazes, men look like women and women look like men..I dont want a man to have more hair than me! Lol

How many people come up and say, "Gee you have beautiful short hair."? Short hair can be easy, perky, cute, darling, but never beautiful. There is nothing that can compare to a healthy, long, beautiful mane of hair. I have had to trim mine when it gets too strawy looking, which I hate to do, but if it is not healthy, it stops being pretty too. There are so many ways now to obtain long hair though, that I guess one could get away with having short hair and switch instantly without some people knowing.

At my age past shoulder length is not an option.Is there anything worse than seeing a woman from behind with long hair ...and then she turns around and it's that gasp? She's so talented ...does it really matter?

I love the long hair. But I have seen some women can pull off the short hair look very well. So I guess it really depends on the girl.

At least on myself. My super-curly hair would look completely ridiculous super short. Emma Watson pulls off really short hair quite well in my opinion. And so did Natalie Portman for 'V for Vendetta'.

You need an "other" choice! I had cut my hair short about a year ago and I liked it. Now I'm growing it out and it's a medium length. I really prefer my hair longer but it is more work to take care of it and and get it looking good. And I was always told that as you get older you should wear your hair shorter. Don't know why. So, I'm letting it grow for now. We'll see what happens.
