According to the new Obama campaign ad and the President's remarks, this is the team that was responsible for the Osama bin Laden raid.

I applaud him for making the call. I loathe him for turning the mission and its outcome into a political campaign issue. He has demeaned the mission as well as the Seals who were in harms way and actually carried out the order. But one should expect this from Obama as he is a blatant narcissist.

What is it about conservatives that makes them abandon even a shred of rationality in order to attack one of the greatest military accomplishments we've had in many a year? The President has never failed to give credit to the brave SEALS who carried out the mission, to the military experts who worked with the President to come up with a workable plan, to the intelligence resources that managed to track bin Laden down, and everyone else involved in this team effort. It is truly disgusting that Right Wingers who like to call themselves "patriots" are determined to denigrate and minimize every accomplishment this country makes just because they can't admit that the man they hate so much is responsible for those accomplishments.

This one is a bit shorter but listen to what you hear about 2 minutes in.

Real hard decision? Real leadership. Wow, 95% of americans would not have hesitated to say the real hard thing--Yes! Sorry Obama is pathetic and a little kid playing in the school yard trying to say look at me--I am a big deal when the truth is a moron could and would have said --Yes!
  • ProudPr... wtw 2012/05/03 14:01:01
If even a moron would say "Yes" then why did Bush say "No" for seven years?

I don't think that is accurate. The seal team themselves has said that he is correct to take credit for giving the order.

Hmm...Maybe a few have but, definitely, not all of them.

"Unfortunately for Obama, serving and former Navy Seals aren’t keeping quiet about his political victory lap, as they’ve come out against Obama.

"I think every president would have done the same. He is justified in saying it was his decision but the preparation, the sacrifice - it was a broader team effort," a former Navy SEAL and Team 6 assault leader is quoted as saying the Daily Mail Online, "The President and his administration are positioning him as a war president using the SEALs as ammunition. It was predictable."

Another serving SEAL Team operator says about the president:

"Obama wasn’t in the field, at risk, carrying a gun. As President, at every turn he should be thanking the guys who put their lives on the line to do this. He does so in his official speeches because the speechwriters are smart. But the more he tries to take the credit for it, the more the ground operators are saying, “Come on, man!” It really didn’t matter who was president. At the end of the day, they were going to go.’"

    Yep, it sure was......

The problem with you Reichties is that Obama did in 3 yrs what George Moron Jr. couldn't or wouldn't do in 8 yrs!!!.....

Oh, btw, where are those WMD's????????

You know the things that George Moron Jr. invaded Iraq about and bragged about taking down Saddam......

It was all nothing but propaganda.....huh!!!!

And do you know Obama could not have done it had it not been for a program Obama and the dems did not want--the drone program. Did you also know that without the use of waterboarding that the intel which CIA used would not have been available? Obama while senator vote almost always against the use of military action. He wants to take credit for the kill but fails to credit the ability of the CIA for years on this trail.
  • ProudPr... wtw 2012/05/03 14:04:12
THAT'S A LIE. According to everyone right up to Donald Rumsfeld there was absolutely NO useful information regarding bin Laden gained from the illegal and unconstitutional torture program the Bush Administration implemented. In fact, it likely made things a lot more difficult for this nation as it inflamed our enemies and motivated them to attack us more fiercely.

And the President has never failed to give credit to the CIA and other intelligence personnel that did develop the necessary intel to track him down. A CIA special ops team, by the way, that the Bush Administration discontinued in 2006 and that had to virtually start from scratch when President Obama took office.

The problem with you Reichties is that Obama did in 3 yrs what George Moron Jr. couldn't or wouldn't do in 8 yrs!!!!

My, my isn't that unpatriotic????.....What's the Reichties motto " stand by your president right or wrong"...Now its different, aye, I call that a double standard...Because if it were George Moron Jr. you wouldn't be saying that now would you....You would be yelling from the rafters with glee over it......

The Reichtie hypocrisy is totally blatant.......

Ther was no mention of Georges landing or Saddam's death in George jr's campaign adds in 2004.

No, all he did was exploit the World Trade Center attacks that he could have prevented and the 3,000 people who died that day because of his incompetence. And that was just on day ONE of his campaign.

Bush Ads Using 9/11 Images Stir Anger

    By Paul Farhi
    Washington Post Staff Writer
    Friday, March 5, 2004; Page A01

President Bush's day-old reelection advertising campaign generated criticism and controversy yesterday, as relatives of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist strikes charged that television commercials using images from the attacks were exploiting the tragedy for political gain.

The reaction to the ads put Bush campaign officials on the defensive on a day in which they had hoped to have the political spotlight to themselves after months in which media attention focused on the Democratic candidates and their criticisms of the president. The ads quickly became a political issue, with the Democratic National Committee and the Republican National Committee firing salvos over them.

  • Uranos7 ProudPr... 2012/05/03 18:48:03
Not quite the same thing as it was an important issue for the candidates to address. They could not just ignore that it happened. They had to show who had the best plan of what to do about it in the days ahead. Unlike an already dead terrorist which had long since ceased to be an issue.

Oh for God's sake, even you can't be so blinded by partisanship as to think it was appropriate for Dick Cheney to say "if you vote for Kerry we'll get attacked again" or for them to create the phony terror color chart which we now know was used not for any national security purpose but merely to frighten people when elections loomed.

And the issue of "who can keep us safe" is no better illustrated by the fact that after seven years of utter and apparently deliberate failure to capture the man responsible for the 9/11 attacks this President focused our priorities and got the job done. Bush's 9/11 ad showed that he could not keep this nation safe. Obama's accomplsihment shows that he can and has kept us safe.
  • Uranos7 ProudPr... 2012/05/03 19:31:22
Oh for God's sake, even you can't be so blinded by partisanship that you actually believe Osama bin Laden was still a threat and killing him made us one bit safer.
Truth is I believe he died years ago from Kidney failure as reported by the rest of the world news organiztions and America kept his image alive to be 'the face of terror' for Americans. because America can not grasp that terrorist groups are like a hydra cut off one head and 2 more replace them.
The way to defeat terror is not to kill leaders but to make them unwelcome in any counntry and to cut off thier supplies of weapons and money. Thus slowly starving them to death.

Well considering you childish insults and name calling rather than debating or discussing proves you can't refute what I have said and have nothing of value to bring to the discussion. So rather than lower myself to you level I will ignore your infantile gibberish and drivel. Trying to have a discussion and/or debate with someone who from all indications (based on their comments) has a kindergarten mentality is not worth the waste of time. So I will choose to leave you play with yourself, which you are more than likely used to.

The President is the antithesis of a narcissist. He has never failed to give proper and due credit to the SEALS who carried out the mission, to the support personnel that helped them, to the intelligence agents that developed the information needed, to the military leaders who he worked with to develop an actionable plan, and to everyone else involved. It is not the President who is politicizing this achievement, it is the Right Wing. Every candidate discusses their accomplishments when they are running for office. It is normal. President Obama has every right to be proud of his role in taking out bin Laden. The Right simply cannot admit that the President is not as evil as they have tried and failed to portray him as for the last four years.

As far as politicization, look to your own camp.

Here's a deserter pretending to be a military hero (complete with codpiece, of course):

    bush flight suit

And here's an idiot declaring a mission that had barely begun as being a "mission accomplished" (complete with teleprompters, of course).

    bush mission accomplished

Again you're wrong. Obama is a posterchild for Narcissitic Pesonality Disorder. And his arrogant actions prove it. Also why do you seem to ignore the fact that the liberal media sweetheart the Huffington Post even says his actions regarding using the Bin Laden incident are despicable. Is the HuffPo no longer one of your fair haired? As for all your pathetic attempts to deter this discussion to Bush, I'm not playing your childish game. You can continue your kindergartenl, playground antics but I choose not to lower myself to that level and wallow in your blatant BS.
