A video game about a Christian militia slaughtering Jewish and atheist New Yorkers who won't be converted in the name of a particular brand of Christianity will be on the shelves of more than 10,000 American retailers in time for the Christmas season, including Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, Circuit City, GameStop, EB Games, CompUSA, Amazon.com, Costco and numerous others. The video game is a spinoff of the wildly successful collaborative novels about "the rapture" by conservative fundamentalist minister Tim Lahaye and the guy who used to write the dialogue for the Gil Thorpe comic strip, Jerry Jenkins.
left behind eternal forces violence
In Left Behind: Eternal Forces, kids will assume the role of a member of a "Christian" gang wandering the streets of a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, killing or converting as many Jews, Atheists, and other unsavory types in the employ of the Anti-Christ as possible to get to the next level. If the heathen won't convert, the character can kill them. The company is offering a free demonstration model to churches. "We see it as a beacon of light that could shine in the dark world of video games," said Jerome Mikulich, "director of outreach ministries" for the company.
left behind eternal forces
"The most important thing is that it helps kids realize there is power in the spirit world, and that by praying they can endure and get through their real-life situations." Praying, and putting a shotgun in the mouth of Jews. Just like all those chapters in the gospel where Jesus preaches that the way to salvation is busting a cap into the ass of those who won't convert.

Left Behind: Eternal Forces is a Christian real-time strategy game developed and published by Inspired Media Entertainment (formerly Left Behind Games) for Microsoft Windows. It was released on November 7, 2006. The game is based on the evangelical Christian Left Behind series of novels.
The game features a single-player campaign and an online multiplayer mode.
In the single-player campaign, the player controls the Tribulation Force, a Christian group in a post-Rapture New York City, who are combating the influence of the Global Community, the world government led by the Antichrist Nicolae Carpathia. The player directs the actions of the main characters (Rayford Steele, Cameron "Buck" Williams, Chloe Steele, and Bruce Barnes) and the Tribulation Force's units in an effort to defeat the Global Community by converting neutral and Global Community-allied civilians to their side, or by using lethal force when necessary. The player is encouraged to use conversion over violence when possible, since killing causes the "spirit level" of the player's units to drop. If the "spirit level" of a player's unit drops too low, the unit will turn neutral or defect to the GC, which can cause the player to lose the game. In the multiplayer component of the game, up to eight players can compete online against each other in teams, with one team playing as the Tribulation Force and the other playing as the Global Community.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat. And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

    Mark 6:7 11
And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits. And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse. But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats. And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

    Luke 9:1 - 5
Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

    Luke 10:1-16
After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you. And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell. He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

Therefore, the whole basic premise of the game is blasphemy or, at least, heresy. This game was not created by a group trying to promote Christianity but pursuing the agenda of promoting the opposite.

Just because they say they are christian doesn't mean they are christian. A troll who wants to take down an organization or a religion, usually does it best by pretending to be a member of that organization in order to infiltrate it and/or to spread false messages claiming it is the teaching of that religion. The truth comes out when you compare their actions and claims as to what is in the bible.
And in the bible, jesus says that when you prwach and they reject you, you are to get up, walk away, seperate yourself from them/ disown them and don't deal with them anymore (that is what the symbol "Shaking the dust from the feet" means).Jesus never said anything close to "the way to salvation is busting a cap into the ass of those who won't convert" (which, btw, I have noticed you have posted there a copy of J.D. If this was to try to run close to Christian teaching, I bet you can't do anything until the people start attacking you. Then it would become a question of self defence. But still that runs afoul of Jesus's turn the other cheek teaching.
But if I'm to accept Griffioen's review of the game at face value, then this game is preaching that it is okay to break in the name of Christ one of the oldest and most basic Judeo - Christian teachings - "You shall not kill" (Exodus 20:13, Deut 5:17).

the source for the following is from :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
If you want to still claim that this is christian, let me point out to you that Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins are Dispensationalists and that Dispensationalism is not mainstream christianity by a very small minority.
    It has also been pointed out that;
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
Along with some other rapture fiction novels, the Left Behind series demonstrates a specific understanding of the Gospel and the Christian life, one with which many have taken issue theologically. The books have not sold particularly well outside of the United States. Dispensationalism remains a minority view among theologians. For instance, amillennial and postmillennial Christians do not believe in the same timeline of the Second Coming as premillennialists, while preterist Christians do not interpret the Book of Revelation to predict future events at all. Brian McLaren of the Emergent Church compares the Left Behind series to The Da Vinci Code, and states, "What the Left Behind novels do, the way they twist scripture toward a certain theological and political end, I think [Dan] Brown is twisting scripture, just to other political ends." John Dart, writing in Christian Century, characterized the works as "beam me up theology".
    and
"Some practicing Christians, evangelical and otherwise, along with non-Christians have shown concern that the social perspectives promoted in the Left Behind series unduly sensationalize the death and destruction of masses of people. Harvey Cox, a professor of divinity at Harvard, says part of the appeal of the books lies in the "lip-licking anticipation of all the blood," and theologian Barbara Rossing, author of The Rapture Exposed: The Message of Hope in the Book of Revelation, said the books glorify violence.Time magazine said "the nuclear frights of, say, Tom Clancy's The Sum of All Fears wouldn't fill a chapter in the Left Behind series. (Large chunks of several U.S. cities have been bombed to smithereens by page 110 of Book 3.)"

Paul Nuechterlein accused the authors of re-sacralizing violence, adding that "we human beings are the ones who put our faith in superior firepower. But in the Left Behind novels the darkness of that human, satanic violence is once again attributed to God."[18] In that same book Jesus merely speaks and the bodies of his enemies are ripped open, forcing the Christians to drive carefully to avoid "hitting splayed and filleted bodies of men and women and horses."

And let me end this post by saying that the books are supposedly to be anti Catholic and accuses the catholic christian pope of establishing a false religion. Well isn't it funny that this Catholic CHRISTIAN easily spotted where the video game blasphemies and committed heresy, or at least went 180 to the teachings of Jesus Christ, and the author accuses Catholics of creating a false religion????????

I was trying to find a game that is anti-religion but many religious people claim different games to be just that. The closest thing I could find was about a student in 2008 "creating what is reportedly a game with an atheistic bent in which you travel back in time to "nip the problem in the bud" by killing Abraham, Mohammed, and the authors of the Bible. " Since I cannot find anything more on it I guess it possibly got nipped in the bud.

From what they said about this game you may have a point that this should not have been released. I don't think it is fair to totally dismiss this but then put out one similar but with the christians being the ones doing the killing.

I really don't know what to say about the violent killing games. I know there is no way they would all be banned nor do I believe they should be. I guess it comes down to the content, but who gets to decided which group is allowed to kill which groups in these games? Some of them are fighting aliens but do you think if there were/are real aliens they would approve of this, all violent games have the potential to offend someone. I have no idea where the lines should be drawn and glad it isn't my decision to make.

well researching some of these groups they are real nuts

Christian Reconstructionism. This is rather like Christian Identity yet, instead of a primary focus on race hatred, these Christians focus on discarding the Constitution and the Democratic Republic in favor of theocracy. Like most fundamentalist Christians, this hate group also wishes to execute homosexuals. One of the most vocal bigots representing this hate movement is George Grant.

The Army of God. Much like Operation Rescue only this one takes responsibility for their terrorist activities. This Christian group claims the responsibility for several abortion clinic bombing, including the now-infamous double-bombing specifically intended to murder the rescue workers aiding victims in the first blast.

The Order. This hate group is mastered by Bob Mathews, a domestic terrorist which focuses on racism and abortion. He and his cult like to demand that abortion in the United States is "the suicide of the white race" never mind the fact that abortion in the United States is predominately used by blacks and Mexicans.

This Christian hate group is led by Tom Metzger, a master who tells his sheep that abortion is okay provided it is of non-white mothers, otherwise the white mother should be forced to give birth at gun point.
