Selena Roberts, a Sports Illustrated reporter, is releasing a book on A-Rod's steroid use. Selena claims that A-Rod was using steroids as early as high school and that other students, even A-Rod's coach, knew about it.

Selena Roberts is the reporter that made A-Rod's use of steroids public.

Selena Roberts also claims that A-Rod is suffering from gynecomastia, the growth of male breasts (this is how, Selena claims, A-Rod got the nickname "bitch tits" while playing for the Rangers). Gynecomastia normally occurs from steroid use and as a result of steroid withdrawals.

Is Selena Roberts going too far?

That if he used steroids that early he would not have made it to the major league. Steroid use in teenagers has very drastic and damaging effects on a growing and developing bodies.

Whether or not he used it in the bigs is another story.

I think it is going a little far, personally. I mean, the gynecomastia stuff, is a little embarassing for anyone and plus, I'm pretty sure I heard that no one can really PROVE he did steroids. Is it politically correct to write a book about an athlete SUPPOSEDLY doing steroids? I mean, if it can't be proven, how does she have a right to make a book about it? First of all... But I mean, if it HAS been proven, because I don't really keep up, it's still really...I don't know, pointless to write an entire book about one guy's stupid mistake. Ask that Selena Roberts woman if she's ever done anything stupid and if she wants someone writing a novel about all the stupid things she's done. True, it's her job, but does she really have nothing better to write about other than other people's stupid mistakes?

I think the book will be stupid but that's the life of a star, there famous but they get exposed. I think she's trying to prove that he's like most other boys that take it. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that take it and no ones else seems to mind the other people so why should it matter that he does? It's his own life and if he wants to take steroids so be it. He doesn't have to answer to anyone but God.
