A religious proram- the 700 club , they were discussing the distruction of America, one topic was that GAYS will bring this country down, do you believe this?

The're brief comments were " America needs to return to a non tolerant and non acceptance of gays and put this evil lifestyle back in the closet before it helps bring about the distruction of the American way of life". Along with gays and other non tradtional life styles we need to start children off very early and teach them not to embrace or accept this as part of a choice here in America. To teach them to stay strong to the American way of life .

I am a Christian and have often been offended by the 700 Club's statements. This one is scary to me. I think our focus should be elsewhere as Christians. Stop worrying about what everyone else is doing and look to see what you might do better. I, by no means, condone homosexuality but it is far from being our Country's biggest problem.

Yes, I agree that people who are living a gay lifestyle will help to bring down this country, but not them alone, the sins of people as a whole will do the rest by themselves unless they REPENT! This is not my words...... but the Word's of God!
In Genesis chapter 18 in the city called: Sodom & Gomorrah...God destroyed this whole city because men were having sex with other men. The BIBLE itself tells us that it is GOD who is the AUTHOR of HIS BOOK!

GOD did not create homosexuals/gay people or even their lifestyle , because in GOD'S EYES (it is a sin) and it's (unnatural)! God made manking in HIS IMAGE AND HIS LIKENESS! GOD CANNOT LIE! But, the devil is the Father of ALL lies! Our minds need to be tranformed by the WORD of GO...

It is they're prejudice that is bad. If they don't approve of gays, fine, but that's no excuse to deprive people of their rights under the Constitution.

They just can't understand that being "gay" isn't a "lifestyle," it's the way a person was born, not a choice.

I'm straight, but why should I get all upset if gays are treated fairly? Everyone should be treated fairly, right?

Absolutely not! I'm catholic and this offends me too.. It's the people who teach intolerance to things like this that make this world a more difficult place for peole to live. I don't think God would approve of everyone shunning another person just because their sexuality is different..
