Let's imagine that there are 4 people in a hospital. Each of these have organ failure of one particular area of the body: heart, liver, kidney, lung. there are no avaliable donors and they will all die if replacements can't be found in time. The doctors notice an person in the hospital who is completely healthy, all organs in perfect condition.

The choice is this: Do you kill this person and take his/her organs to save the other 4 lives or let that person live and thus leading to the deaths of those people? which would you choose?

Please note: if you kill the healthy person then the other four will live.

It's terrible that four lives will be lost, but if saving them means murder then it is wrong. How would those people feel knowing someone who had a chance for life unwillingly gave it up for them? Actual organ donation is different; the people have agreed to give their organs and are announced brain dead before the operation takes place. The gift of life is a wonderful one, but the cost should never be paid by choice. (Just wondering, what is a completely healthy person doing in a hospital?)

Well, it's decided; I'm never working at a hospital.

Actually it depends if let's say the one person is a neo nazi or a religious fundie then yea I'll blow their brains out myself but except in cases similiar to that then no if it's your time to go it's your time to go.

Killing that one healthy person is murder, even if it saves 4 lives. He does not owe even one of them his/life.
