I know I am not a Top Member, or prevalent on the leader board, so to the owners of this website, I am not important. Just another faceless person, a name, an avatar, giving opinions on some important issues and some not so important things.
My years here mean little to the owners of this site, but I take heart in knowing that I have made connections with people and yes even some friendships.
I understand that money is the bottom line to the owners of this site, not their members happiness or even concerns. I also understand that drama, and trolls and hateful people create traffic and thus revenue.
And yet... I have never been so disappointed as I am today. The owners and moderators of SodaHead, continue to allow a certain troll to do just that troll. Or maybe they are not a troll and are truly this hateful. I hope not, because the idea of a person being this hateful is sad to me.
And I had no problem with them allowing this person to be here, after all we may block, or we may ignore those we don't like.
What I do have problem with is when replying to this hateful person, when DEFENDING myself and others like me, my reply is removed 404'd.
Come on. That's ridiculous. I said nothing more venomous than this other person did. Than this others person's entire poll was, and not just one poll, but many. And yet, theirs still stands. Not only does it stand, but it is featured and celebrated.
Is this the kind of company, website you are running? The kind that panders to the worst of the worst, while slapping the hands of those who have peaceably been here for years?
I hope the answer is no, but I suspect I will once again be disappointed.
Edit: The person/sock/troll I spoke of has finally been deactivated, while I doubt it had anything to do with this little rant, thank you all for your two cents.

+25Thank you, certain people on here are allowed to state racial slurs, anti gay and so on while others get the boot who don't even come close to being as vile.
i had the same experience you did. a user,who had to be staff,was using all sorts of derogatory name calling toward me. even told me i was"schizoid and needed psychiatric help. when i replied "if anyone is schizoid it has to be you".the staff/user went back thru the poll and erased every comment it had made and replaced it with 'this poll is not worth my time". it had answered at least 10 times if not more and was saying the same negative comments to a friend of mine. then this user reported us and we were suspended for 2 days. my friend never came back. and another user took a screenshot of a comment with my name on it and altered the words in the comment. i reported it to sh but that user was not deactivated as it should have been and is still here as is the other one. proof that they work for sh.
sh has a ton of fakes and sock puppets on this site too. learn how to spot them and then ignore.
melicious, you should look up the word hypocrite. You are angry at other users who you find offensive, while you yourself use such profane language and to think I was going to add you as a friend.

You basically want to control the website's content and what is stated.
If I said right now you were a fool, your answer would be to then ban me.
Sounds like the typical desire for control as long as you are the one in control.
People who can't do any better than to put up strawmen don't have much.
You said, and I quote, "stop your bellyaching, it's just a website". Rather than choosing to ignore a post you didn't like, you had to make it known that you disapprove.
You made a choice.
Now, move on, go play some place else.
I did not say i did not like the post, I just said stop your crying it's only a website and I was not even speaking to you, you really make no sense.

I just saw that the little brat has been de-a'd so I came back here to see what I could find out about it.
