  Most 70's fashions were cool to wear.especially the girls clothing,for guys like me to look at. My favorite out of all of it was bell bottom jeans. i like wearing them,and see the girls too. Plus the original low rider women's bell bottom jeans

  Cool. Loved it then, still love it now. Hate today's styles. Nobody wore jeans hanging off their ass with their underwear showing back then!

  It came from the prison system. In prison, they wore their jeans that way to let other prisoners know that they were "available". People decided to emulate this in the american public. Yeah, they must be *so proud* to advertise the fact that they are someone's prison bitch. so sickening.

  Some of the pictures posted here are a bit creepy but I like a lot of 70's fashion, yes, especially punk fashion. Retro style in general is pretty awesome - the 50's greaser look, the 70's punk look, the 80's goth and new wave look, and then the 90's grunge look. They're all great.

  Some of it was bad, but a lot was fine and perfectly normal. And that's true of every period. You could buy ugly clothes anytime.

  Its cyclical. I find it amusing that I see the younger kids today wearing the madress plaid shirts I threw out in the 80's. Americans are so easily programmed.

  You could wear just about anything in the 70s. Mix and match was the norm because there was no real fashion trend -- UNLESS you were going to a discotheque for the evening -- THEN it got stupid!!! Fun, but stupid.

  Hey, I liked it, except for the leisure suits. I have to wear a suit for work and I liked the way the 70s ended the white shirt monopoly in the legal profession. I remember as a new lawyer in the late 70s that I didn't own ANY white shirts. Another lawyer and I were explaining this and hair length to a judge who was born in 1900 and he was actually okay with it. The suit cuts definitely improved. I used to wear the Johnny Carson collection then( I was a lot thinner) and I thought they looked really sharp

  Just like every other fashion years after it's popularity fades. I wish I could live long enough to see the current fashion dorks when they get older. Bell bottoms have nothing on the stretchy spandex hooker fashion.
