  I was a kid in the '70s, I thought the clothes were ugly then. I can remember just staring at people who were wearing "fashionable" clothes and thinking "Yuck".
  I guess we have nowhere to go but backwards now though, considering the only new fashions we can come up with are sagging pants so we can show everyone our underwear and matted, dirty looking hair.

  I wouldn't say it's creepy; that's not exactly the right word. '70's fashion is not exactly stylish now, but it's kind of interesting.

  I don't care what other people think, to me the '70's (and the '80's in second place) will ALWAYS be cool! I wish I could go back in time and stay there forever!

  ive seen women wearing what they call a dress well its what i Know to be a copy of what women wore under thier dresses in 1909 as underwear

  I was so proud of my favorite outfit that i wore when i was 8 a white short sleeve turtlneck with a burgundy short sleeve buttondown collar polo shirt the pants were polester bell-bottom-cuffed red white navy blue Plaid. shoes were platforms Yes boys wore platform shoes back then, I thought i looked so cool
  i was already 5 foot 11 without shoes when i was 8 years old
  now im 6 foot 6

  I was born in 1962 so I was a teen in the 70s..I loved it!!! The skyscraper platform shoes and boots...the metallic clothes,,the garish make up..the glitter..the mad hair...glad I was there!!!

  I lived it & I LOATHED it!!! I mean really, were all of the adults taking hits of acid back then?? How did paisley match plaid? And the colors, oh God the colors, they also had of been color blind. That's what I chalk it up to.
  
  When these styles started to come back I had one question...WHY?!?

  I remember wearing pink plaid hip-hugger bell bottoms with a pink angel-sleeve crop-top and a burgundy paisley scarf around my head-tied in a knot on the side. Just too cool. I wish I had a photo of me in that--my sons would have a field day.

  We didn't have many options you know? Wear it or go naked. Well ok, so in the 70s the going naked thing wasn't unheard of but ya know :)

  I can remember one summer we burnt some and omg did it go up fast. If that had been on your body it would have first melted to it and then it would have burnt the crap out of you.

  oh yeah I remember that, how they would burn quick & easily. Now a days it's all about kid having flame retardant pj's. Heck we were SOL back then, who thought of that stuff?..no one.

  You couldn't strip that off fast enough before you would be engulfed in flames. I remember seeing burn so quickly and deciding right then I would never wear it again.

  OMG, that insecticide smell was horrible in the summer. If you left the car sitting in the heat with the windows rolled up you practically couldn't sit in there. You would have to let it air out first. Thinking about it now it was probably not a good idea smelling all of that. I'll probably find out that it causes cancer or something. lol

  I would get so embarrassed if I had to drive a friend home or out on a date in that car. I should have ripped the carpeting out but hindsight is 20/20. lol
