Considering I don't like America and what it's come to, I think I'll just celebrate the food.

Move to California. All the disenfranchised seem to move there, probably because you can self-medicate legally there. And that makes things just a little bit better. ;)

That is a very sad comment. Why should you hate the nation that blesses so many, and so many people desire to live here.

From her profile she's only 14. She should be glad that she lives in America where she can make such a statement without the military police going to her house to arrest her!

I thank Heavenly Father for this nation. The men who wrote The Declaration of Independence, and The Constitution, were inspired by God. I am thankful for my ancestor who fought in the war for our independence.

To me it's just a celebration of the heritage we have here and the community. Patriotism is weird in my opinion and unnecessary. As long as you care for your neighbors and community that shares your home which gives a sense of connection. I don't think a country is better, I just like where I'm from since it's familiar and home to me.

There was a time when I would celebrate the birth of America with imence joy and excitement. That time is now coming to an end and I look now at the country I hold so dear to my heart and watch it fade away. Yet, with tears in my eyes and a deep scar in my heart, until my last breath, I will wisper the words, "God bless America... For what it used to be."

I only answered the way I did because there is no "I don't celebrate Independence Day" option. This is a very biased poll. I am not celebrating Independence day, at all, I'm mourning the state of our country. Not grilling, not celebrating. The so called freedom we celebrate no longer exists in America. It's all an illusion. True patriots are angry about what has become of our country and The Constitution. I see many flags flying upside down this year. I'll celebrate the 4th again the day our leaders defend the Constitution and fight for our rights instead of passing laws that take those rights away.

America's Independence did not mean much for most of my people . I will celebrate what she has become now .. but not what she was then.
