July 4th is one of my favorite holidays. I can't think of a better reason for throwing a party than to celebrate the birth of our country with amazing friends and family, grilling fantastic food, on a warm summer day!

The Declaration of Independence of 1776! The Revolution - 1775 to 1783! After the war commenced and before signing the Declaration, there was the Staten Island Peace Conference on Sept 11th, 2001 during the battle for New York City! The way I celebrate the 4th no more makes me forget the meaning of it than giving and receiving presents makes me forget tje meaning of Christmas.
