............... I do pray for all the victims of the many, many wildfires that have occurred .........I don't personally have the finances to even donate to the Cause, if I did I would most certainly contribute in helpful ways, ........... some of these wildfires have been set by arsonists and careless persons as well, reading this post I hope I bring to light that being sensible and compassionate human being, that hopefully all of this will be resolved by the patriotic fire and rescue teams dealing with this as I post this, God Bless You All, in Jesus name, Amen.........

I did happen to me before. My family and I went to a relative's house in Northern California. Luckily, when we came back, our house was unscathed. Only a few houses down the street got burned.

I am quite upset of this situation. My sister and her family live in Fort Collins, Colorado. My sister works as a pediatrician and she is very much worried about children's health. It is very hot and the air is full of smoke due to the fire.
I would go to Greenland if I can!

We have two houses. One on Long Beach Island and then on the mainland. Last year during hurricane Irene we had to evacuate the island so we came to the mainland. Several years ago there was a giant pine barrens fire that the air force started so we then went to the island. I have a bunch of pets and have to think of them so I'm not one that is going to stick around. I grab them and go.

Go to family in another part of the state or to family in the nearest state to you. I'm sorry they have to evacuate like that.

One of the things I've always been aware of
is that I have to have plans for contingencies
(including those related to natural weather, fires, etc)
    I've lived frugally ..
so I could definitely find a place to stay away from the weather/event ..
I also know where Family members and Friends are ..
and I'm glad to say ..
they would welcome me to stay over there
    just in case too ..

I'd load everything I could in our vehicles, hook up to our camper and head away from the fire, by way of my insurance agents office to make sure we're up to date.

Probably a hotel, since my oldest brother lives in the part of Florida that just had days and days of flooding rains (what a shame Storm Debby didn't move west!), so that wouldn't be a good move... and at the moment my other brother is in the process of moving from a postage stamp sized apartment to a house.

I'd go a few counties over and hope it didn't follow.
My heart goes out to those folks on the run from those fires. Those areas desperately need a couple weeks of rain.

Well having been in the situation where there was a mandatory evacuation in my area last summer due to a hurricane. At that time I decided to stay. Now say if there were to be a fire that was quickly spreading and burning down houses I would probably go to my aunt's house in Maryland.

Depend upon the reason for evacuation. We were told to evacuate when that tsunami was predicted to hit Oahu early in the morning. We just drove up a hill outside the flood zone and waited until we got the all clear. If the tsunami hit, we would probably end up staying at a brother's house for a little while.
