A 21-pound lobster recently caught off Nauset Beach in Orleans is now on display. “I had its tail on my shoulder and I had each claw in one of my hands, and it was as long as my arms and as big as my torso. It’s giant,” said Manager Elise Costa. "Get away" or "get in my belly"?

Although lobster is one of my all time favorite foods, I think I'd have to let that bad boy go out of sheer respect.

You need to give another option and that is/ "put him/her back". Why we have to drag everything out of its natural habitat and put it on display or kill it is beyond me. Its not a man eater, not a danger to anyone, stop molesting it Elisa Costa and put him back in the ocean.

If I remember right older crabs taste really bad. Let the thing go back to it's habitat and live out the rest of it's long life.

Also think of the mercury that it must contain. You would probably die. Surprised that it hasn't scummed to mercury poison.

I like lobster, but this one wouldn't taste very good. It's managed to live this long, so I say set it free :)

This lobsters quality "tender, tasty meat" days were a decade ago. As it is now, it is a mere novelty and curiosity of nature. None of my fellow Mainers would even touch one over four or five pounds and would prefer just under two!

Poor little lobo living quietly on George's Bank off Nantucket when Pete's lobster trap with a bluefish head tied inside suddenly drops down from above out of nowhere like Mana from heaven, Little 1 1\2 lbs lobo quickly scoots inside the trap which is designed like Hotel California, you can check in, but you can never leave So the trapped lobo ("Louise") spends 7 straight days inside a cramped little cage as other of Louise's lobo family members join her On the eight day the trap in a tandem line of twenty traps is mechanically, electronically wrenched-up by Pete and Louise and her friends are brought from 50 plus feet below to air (it's amazing they don't explode from the pressure change); Pete grabs Louise and "pegs"her (drives sharpened wooden pegs into the muscles of her claws so she can't lop off Pete's fingers Louise is taken back to Nantucket where Charlie Sayles or Kevin Shore or that other seafood guy at Island Seafood's buys them and dumps them in their lobster tanks and then sells Louise for 20 times what she's worth to rich vacationers who cannot shut up about how delicious Louise tasted with drawn butter. So much better than other lobsters The whole spectacle is OBSCENE. Sorry CHARLIE.

...first of all, it's gonna be like eating a boot with drawn butter; second of all, why are they keeping and eating the big, breeding stock lobsters like this instead of letting it go to make lots of little lobsters??

I think they are going to release it into a deeper part of the ocean so it has a better chance of survival.
