Los Angeles health officials have confirmed that there are 16 adult film performers that have recently tested HIV positive, this makes it a total of 22 porn stars victims since 2004. But this isn't all, one female porn star filmed one scene after she was told she was infected, and San Fernando Police is investigating why the Porn firm let this happen. U.S. law requires that actors prove they have tested negative for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases within 30 days of going to work on a film. According to the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation, the majority of male porn stars do not use condoms because they believe everyone is clean on the set... this may be the reason of the HIV outbreak in the porn industry.

    Yes, Male porn stars (gay, straight & bi) should be forced to use condoms (although for most, it doesn't work). However, it's their decision whether they should protection or not, and most prefer not to use protection in porn films at all (which, in my personal opinion, is a stupid decision on their part). All-male adult film companies, such as Treasure Island Media and Threshold Media, specialize in barebacking films, and even if I was a porn star, I would never, ever submit myself to barebacking. Condoms save my life everytime, all the time (not that I sleep around though lol). I get tested regularly and always come out with a clean bill of health.

    In porn movies where the male wears a condom, at the moment of climax, the condom is always removed just before the "money shot" is delivered all over the woman's face. Eyes are among the most easily infected areas of the human body. The mouth and nasal passages are probably not too far behind. The condom is worn solely to provide protection for the man. (at least that's what I read)

    They need to be a lot more careful, though, and everyone on set should have to prove their clean before anything happens. I think they need stricter rules, perhaps. Besides, in that line of work, you also need to look out for yourself. Those who test positive need to wear a condom. Or those that are unsure, wear a condom.

    No!!! People need to take responsible for their own life. No one can force you to do anything, if you are not willing to partake. Beside If you don't wear a condom during oral sex while bother about wearing a condoms while having intercourse. You are still exchanging body fluids. These people are in a very high risk profession for HIV/AIDS and STDs. I hate to see anyone risk their life just to give us sexual relieved.

    I have always thought they should! In this day and age you can never be to sure about anything.I think anyone who cares about themselves in any way would insist that protection be mandatory.I know that testing is something that they do regularly but hiv takes 3 to 6 months to show up on a test!
    If that doesn't scare them i don't know what will.Any mentally stable adult knows the risk they are taking when getting into this lifestyle and if they choose to do it anyway i am sorry to say they should be responsible for all that comes with it the good and the bad!
