1. Hostess Cupcake

As of this week, the Greatest Cake on Earth is now the Cake You Can't Buy Anymore.

2.Chef Boyardee Meatball Stew

Did the contents of the can ever look as good as the casserole in this picture?

3.Heinz Purple Ketchup

Once upon a time (not that long ago, in fact), kids could make
"psychedelic purple flowers on hamburger buns and purple racing stripes
on hot dogs" with a single

4.Crystal Pepsi

Crystal Pepsi
was a caffeine-free soft drink sold in the U.S., Canada and Australia as
a "clear alternative" to other colas. Its marketing slogan was: "You've
never seen a taste like this." You also haven't seen this soda since
1993, when it was pulled from the market after its fizzy launch in 1992

5. C3PO Cereal

Seriously, a CP3O cereal? During
the early Star Wars craze, cereals were but a tiny fragment of the huge
retail market. "Introduced by Kellogg’s, C3P0s were similar to Cheerios
in appearance, although they were shaped like the numeral eight, or
more colorfully – the result of 'twin rings phased together for two
crunches in every double-O,'" according to Retroland.

6. Ecto Cooler

All we can say is this: What exactly was this drink?

rings phased crunches double-o tonbsp retroland 6 ecto cooler drink

7.Ho Ho

Ho Hos are, or
were, cylindrical, frosted, cream-filled cakes with a pinwheel
design made famously by Hostess and first created back in 1920. They
were similar to Yodels by Drake's and Swiss Rolls by Little Debbie's.

8.Tato Skins

How much "real" potato was actually to be found in these things? We'll probably never know.

9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cereal

For awhile back in the '90s, the
Turtles could do no wrong. When it was first introduced, this cereal
was called "crunchy, sweetened 'ninja nets' with 'ninja turtle'
marshmallows." The pizza-shaped marshmallows came along

10. Wonder Bread

Take a good long gander at this Wonder Bread truck, because chances are you won't see it again any time soon ...

11.Twinkies

Good-bye, gorgeous golden cake with the cream filling, something no
professional nutritionist working today could ever, in good
conscience, recommend.

Hostess Cupcakes, Twinkies, Ho Ho's and Wonder Bread are still available inToronto, Canada on June 27, 2013. So, is wonder bread, it was just on sale for $2 a loaf. I got Smooth Multigrain. And I'm pretty sure the Chef Boyardi Meatball Stew is still here, but I will have to check.

I haven't had any of them in years, but I did love frozen twinkies. None of them actually qualify as food, but every so often a nutritionally worthless treat is just the ticket.

It is something different every day. Hostess is gone, but Little Debbie still has most of that stuff available and cheaper too. It is sad the union workers greed killed the company. That is what the Maine plant used as a reason.,.

Here in Europe, we have different products.

But we also experienced and still experience the disappearing of many appreciated food products.

We had quite a lot of popular specialties withdrawn from the shops, simply because they did not sell well enough or, in some cases, because the producer closed down.

If my butter was soft enough that it wouldn't tear the bread while spreading it , I thought it made tasty sandwiches.. Grilled Spam and Cheese was a favorite.

Ya they do. I am going on a blind date today, going to a 50's diner. It is a fun place because it has all the memorabilia on the walls and 50's cars . The real things because the opened in the 50's and never changed a thing.. cruse the streets then stop there in summer. Gosh I don't know how I will know this guy. He said he looks like an ugly Tom Cruse LOL..
