About Me: Lamar Robinson is committed to providing the world with quality, cutting edge music. Although many people are behind the scenes making positive contributions to the polished, finished product that you hear (yes there is an entire band) the vast majority of the music is written and produced by Lamar "L Money" Robinson. Originally from Salisbury, Maryland, Lamar found his true calling within the confines of his local church. There he became firmly founded in singing praises to the Almighty. At a very early age Lamar dedicated himself, faithfully, to expressing himself through creating and performing quality music. Lamar surrounded and saturated himself with all the nourishing musical influences that the church embodied. This period of soulful dedication to his congregation would prove invaluable to Lamar's maturation into an extraordinary vocalist, and accomplished piano player.
Lamar took every advantage of any opportunity to further develop both a keen musical ear, and the ability to play the keyboard, drums and many other instruments. "Hard work, constant practice, not just Sunday, that music room was my home, my world, I put it in...HEAVY." It did not take very long before word began to spread in and around the eastern shores of Maryland and Delaware. Soon thereafter Lamar began to spread his wings beyond the walls of his congregation, and perform outside his church. Without exception, Lamar received positive responses everywhere that he performed, from neighborhood parks to local talent shows and sometimes larger convention centers. Recently Lamar's travels have taken him across the nation and across the world. Ultimately he decided to set up shop in Atlanta, GA, home to the Reddy recording studio. Lamar has spent the last four years writing and composing music for many other more well known artists. Finally, Lamar has made the decision to move to the forefront. "My goal is to reach back home and give all the other talented individuals from the Salisbury area a platform from which to launch. I am not the only gifted individual from my home town or even my home area. God would never bless only one. That gift, or talent, is present in so many young individuals, they just need the resources and the direction. An outlet where they can express themselves, and show the world God's work through their deeds. Only God knows where I would be, or what would have become of me, if I did not have this music in my life. Right now there are many more negative influences than positive opportunities for the youngsters coming up. Hopefully I can do my part to even out that equation, you feel me?".
