About Me

Hello, my name is Kristin. I am married to my one true love and best friend, Peter.

I am a kind-hearted, open minded, musically talented, video game playing nerd. I'm a heteromantic demisexual, an omnivore, a completely open book, an ambivert (I'm somewhere between INFP and ENFP) and a fun loving person. I'm an idealistic girl who believes in truth, freedom and love. I have ADHD and Depressive/Anxiety Disorder, but I am coping pretty well with it now. I am always a loyal friend and nearly always friendly to those I don't know (unless you are beyond ridiculous or an asshole), I'm open to new ideas and cultures, so anyone is welcome to talk to me.

(Your personality type: "Spontaneous Idealist"
Enthusiastic, idealistic and creative. Able to do almost anything that interests them. Great people skills. Need to live life in accordance with their inner values. Excited by new ideas, but bored with details. Open-minded and flexible, with a broad range of interests and abilities.)

I was born and raised Mormon- but I don't know where I stand on that at the moment. I believe in many of the ideas, but I am put off by others. I am currently more of a deist or spiritualist to be honest, I definitely believe in a God and an afterlife. I just have too many questions.

I have been a typical Christian Conservative in the past, but when I started thinking for myself, researching and discussing politics and religion with more diverse people, I kind of created my own beliefs. I went through a completely Libertarian phase after that, but now I'm somewhere between a Moderate and a Moderate Libertarian. Who even knows. I just know that I am socially Liberal, and on the fence about fiscal matters...though I tend to lean Conservative in those regards. I generally vote Libertarian, however, to combat the evil that is the American two-party system, and because it is the party I think I can believe in the most at this point.

Right now I'm going to my local university. I am going into Psychology to be a mental health therapist, I just find the subject to be fascinating and I love to help people.

I have a bit of a background in music, I was in band through all my public school years since I was 10. I was the concert mistress (1st chair Clarinetist) in high school, lettered in band, I also got the most dedicated award in my field show marching band and runner up for music sterling scholar. I was involved in concert band, marching band, field show band, pep band, orchestra, pit orchestra, youth symphony orchestra, choir and music theory.

When I got to college I continued my music education with a music and academic scholarship that totally paid for my tuition (I so wish I could have them back). I was just as involved as I was in high school, and I was planning on being a music major. After two years of purely music classes, I realized I had no idea what career I was going to make with music. I couldn't just perform forever, not with how competitive I realized the professional symphony world was, and I didn't want to teach. So I quit, and it has been really hard for me, but it is for the best. I continue to be a music lover, though.

It's kind of nice to take a break from working, and having a husband who can support me. I had a CNA license and worked as one for two years, but it just expired, so I think that chapter of my life is over. I have two baby boys, Dorian was born June 8, 2013 and Caleb was born June 2, 2014. Crazy how it worked out, but I plan to be a stay at home mom and part time student until I get my master's degree. Then I will work while my boys (and who knows what other future children) are in school.

I have my Associate's of Science now, and am currently working on my BS in Psychology. We're also looking into buying our first house!

I'd like to meet

I love to meet people from everywhere around the world (as long as they're not just looking for sex)! As far as famous people I'd like to meet: Tom Brady, Paul McCartney, Harrison Ford, Viggo Mortensen, Tuomas Holopainen, and Sharon den Adel.

Reading, video games (mostly action rpgs), playing music (clarinet, alto sax, piano, singing), swimming, hiking, hanging out with friends, writing music, poetry and stories, camping, cooking and organizing things (on occasion)

First of all: ghosts and the supernatural are the most fascinating to me.

Followed closely by serial killers, and learning about what makes them tick. It's all very fascinating.

I love learning about History, especially the American Civil War, the American, French and Russian Revolutions, Rome, Medieval England, World War II and Ancient Egypt. Politics, Warfare and Economics have always interested me, I've taken the time to learn about them.

I also think Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Theology, Meteorology, Archaeology, Paleontology, Geology, Biology, Astronomy, Literature, Music Theory, and many more topics are fascinating to learn about.

I love to be in nature and I love many different kinds of animals as well.

Favorite Music

The Beatles are my favorite to listen to for just singing along and enjoying myself. I have every CD of theirs, seen all their movies, own like 8 Beatles shirts and other stuff.

My favorite composers are: Debussy, Tchaikovsky and Mozart (as a Clarinetist I'm obligated to have him as a favorite, lol).

My favorite music for epicness and great sound would be Symphonic/Gothic/Power Metal/Rock. Within Temptation (Sharon's my favorite singer), Nightwish, Epica, Sirenia, Delain, Lacuna Coil, Therion, Rhapsody of Fire, Xandria, Kamelot, Apocalyptica, Sonata Arctica, ...etc. Just anything just that combines classical style (choirs, orchestras) with electric guitars is awesome, and epic.

I don't like too much repetition, so really long techno songs, rap, hip-hop, screamo, excessive growling and stuff don't really do anything for me.

Other music I like includes: classical, musicals, soundtracks, metal, jazz, ska, soul, rock, some pop, synthpop, some techno, alternative, gothic and some country.
