Aside from what you posted Tuna and other such fish are high in Fatty acids which are excellent for the heart, high in protein and low in saturated fats. Making fish excellent to eat. Altho Mercury can be contained in fish, the same way you eat other meals and other foods in SERVING SIZE, we are also meant to eat fish in serving portions.

As much as mercury is in food, it can not kill us in small portions why? Mercury is a mineral that exists naturally in the environment. In addition, thousands of tons are released into the air each year through pollution and waste. If mercury was so hazardous we would all be dead by now. The atmosphere is a wonderful thing because most of what we eat in food can be found in our air. Nutrients and Minerals are both important to take in, but again this goes by portions, this is why we see serving sizes, even on medications.

There are some seafood/fish to avoid all together such as:
    * Avoid eating shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish (also known as golden bass or golden snapper)

    * If you eat fish; Limit consumption of all other types of fish to 12 ounces per week;

    * We can eat Tuna; Limit their consumption of canned albacore ("white") tuna or fresh tuna to no more than 6 ounces per week

    * If more than the recommended amount of fish is eaten in one week, eat less in the following weeks.

For children and nursing or pregnant woman, fish to be avoided:
    Shark
    Swordfish
    King Mackerel
Tilefish (a.k.a. golden bass, golden snapper)

Lower in mercury but still to be avoided:
Tuna steak (also used in sushi and sashimi)
    Canned Albacore white tuna

    * Fish to be eaten in limited quantities by women who are/may be pregnant or nursing, and young children:
    Canned light tuna
    Sea bass
    Gulf Coast oysters
    Eastern Oyster
    Marlin
    Halibut
    Channel catfish (wild)
    Haddock
    Mahi mahi
    Largemouth bass
    Blue mussel
    Cod
    Pollack
    Gulf Coast blue crab
    Pike
    Great Lakes salmon
    Lake whitefish
    White croaker
    Walleye

    Fish lowest in methylmercury:
    Catfish (farmed)
    King crab
    Scallops
    Fish sticks
    Flounder (summer)
    Trout (farmed)
    Salmon (wild Pacific)
    Shrimp
    Tilapia
    Sardines

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency describes selenium as an element that is “antagonistic to the toxic effects of mercury.” It is increasingly clear that talking only about mercury levels in fish—and ignoring selenium’s protective effects—misses half the story. On average, every fish species we tested (and over 97 percent of the individual fish samples) contained more selenium than mercury, providing consumers with adequate protection from any theoretical mercury-related harm.

Even before accounting for selenium, a careful reading of the Food and Drug Administration’s description of its mercury “Action Level” indicates that no fish sampled in this study is unsafe to eat.

All in all, I will continue to eat fish.

He wasn't ready to love so we stayed friends for a long time. Then, one night as we talked on the phone before we hung up he said "Heather, can we say I love you, before hanging up the phone?" That had to be the most romantic thing I heard and I was so happy. From then on we were in love. So in love we planned on meeting soon after that. We did in December last year. We have been seeing and loving each other since. We have been together for over a year now as a couple. We still live apart and fly to see each other. By the summer we will be living together.

Love happens. It will find a way.

My name is not spelled H-e-a-t-h-a. Its HeathER, ER, ER, Heather! I hate the Boston accent for this, because that is why I get called Heatha, aaaaah! I hate it! (breathes) lol and then my mom always says Naner, NanER?! wtf, its NanA, Nana! No er at the end of Nana, its spelled N-a-n-a. I hate when er gets dropped for a and a gets dropped for er. It makes us sound dumb. The only thing I do not mind about the Boston accent is our over exaggerated a. Like in Aabout, or baaagel. (more)

However, I do not care where mine go to. I do not care to see the face on the bill. I do not see what the big deal is. If a woman with 14 kids needs my money, I would donate it anyway, so I rather her help her kids, I will be living my life just fine. If its to go to war to support the troops to protect themselves or help them eat, I will let it go there. People are greedy plain and simple. Its sad. (more)
