Lol I'm fine with vampires being sexy (lol the ones in Twilight weren't) but as long as they actually do stuff! Not friggin' sparkle!!! OMG! Lol the sexiest good vamps ever are Spike and Angel!!! The perfect team! They PwN Twilight so much!
The one big problem with Twilight is she never explained what makes them sparkle. It just happened. She never explained why they are that kind of vampire either. And they don't even act scary. Meyerpires a wussies. Well, the Cullens anyway. They're about as scary as this bunny.
I thought that she made a few interesting points, but I disagree with a couple of them. Regardless of the differences that can be seen within vampire canon, there is nothing to suggest why they would sparkle, why their skin would make itself cold (as a corpse with no blood flow, vampires should be room temperature or their temperature would change depending on where they are; ie, in a snowy field verses in the sun), and her example of why the vampires don't take over because of they don't know everything about human weaponry doesn't make any sense because they should have the ability to have spies, either human or vampire, anywhere they want.
"I think these people must be used to a more action-oriented plot, because the bad vampires are pretty scary. It’s just an ever-present threat rather than a nonstop fight. Besides there’s that whole fang thing I mentioned earlier. No tiny punctures or hygienic trickles of blood. These vampires will tear your throat out."
I think this would have been a better argument if the vampires in Twilight acted like they could tear your throat out. The only vampires that we had any real exposure to were Edward and his family, and they were too busy being morally superior to everyone to be an actual threat. The nomads were fairly easy to dispose of, so they weren't actual threats. The Volturi sat around in their citadel and had food brought to them, they amassed an army only to walk away without a fight. What's the point of a vampire that only has the potential to do damage if they never act on that potential?
She went to Wikipedia... not a credible source. Also she didn't attack Twilight's plot or grammar. But she did pretty good. But please, she should gone to a credible source.
She did a fairly good job, but she did miss certain points of the reason people are so anti-Twilight...grammar, plot, etc. I would've liked to have seen her tackle that one...Twilight is mediocre, it can be tolerated, but it doesn't deserve this much publicity. Especially when the story has been told countless times - and as reports say - so close to Meyer's tale.
I saw that, and then I laughed. I would've had a ball if she'd come here to bash Christine. We can say whatever the hell we want wherever the hell we want. We don't need to restrict our opinions to her blog alone. If I'm not mistaken, she should be flattered, this post is somewhat a compliment after all since we aren't calling her a dumbass.
I take that back, the bunny is scarier.
