BONNAROO MULE TRACKS - 06.17.07.
6.17 From Bonnaroo is available for download. This show is flat out why we do MuleTracks. 'Streamline Woman' and 'Brand New Angel' are absolutely thunderous and 'Sweetleaf' and 'War Pigs' leading into 'Soulshine' for a second encore? How do you top that? Well, you can try the rest of the set. Michael Franti on 'Play With Fire', Bob Weir on 'Sugaree' and 'Loser', Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady & Barry Mitterhoff on 'Come Back Baby' and 'Death Don't Have No Mercy', Luther Dickinson on "32/20 Blues' & 'That's What Love Will Make You Do'...Lewis Black even showed up for a joke that turned violent. If all that isn't enough to make you download this show, how about John Paul Jones playing bass on 'Moby Dick' and 'Livin' Lovin' Maid', and then playing keys on 'Since I've Been Loving You' and 'No Quarter'? Downloading yet?
HIGH & MIGHTY - In Stores Now. But the new Gov't Mule album here.
Big riffs, massive grooves, and expansive improvisations are the hallmarks of Gov't Mule's legendary live shows. Likewise, their well-crafted songs feature larger-than-life characters bearing life's heaviest burdens, performed by four musicians guitarist/vocalist Warren Haynes, drummer Matt Abts, keyboard player Danny Louis, and bassist Andy Hess whose powerful musicianship and chemistry along with their tireless work ethic have earned them the respect of their peers....more.
