Your child has _____________. Now what??

Robin 2012/09/18 20:48:02

It's a beautiful day! The sun is shining,
humidity is low.
The dishes are done, laundry all folded and put away.
The kids are in school, and the baby
is sound asleep in her bed.
Then, the phone rings.
You answer with a chipper 'Hello?'
On the other end... your worst
nightmare.
No, not a sibling from when your dad was stationed in Japan,
of which you knew nothing about,
worse!
It is the ... school nurse...
She tells you that your precious little 6 year old boy, the
apple of your eye, is in the office and needs picked up NOW, and while you're here... take the other four with you.
SCABIES!!!!!!
Those little bundles of pure love are now parasite infested social outcasts.
Every other kid in the school district has a note to that effect too.
What do you do?
Have fun!

and the kids! I gotta find wood to knock on, but my kids havn't actually had these, or lice. But, my husband working at a landfill as a mechanic, got covered with this rash. tried everything, and I am RN practitioner, I really mean everything. I never evem saw anytjing like it. Took him to dermatoligist...he never saw it. Finally, I went to the farm store, and bought a 'flea dip' type thing for farm animals... then dipped him... whatever he had, went away, and he is now dipped every 3 months . Yes.. I know, you are not suppoed to use that on people lol

You should be a doctor practioner. LOL. I would have tried diesel. That keeps you away from other people, though.

Several topical treatments exist for scabies, the most common of which are Kwell lotion (lindane) and Elimite (permethrin). Care must be taken to use these medications appropriately.

I forget the name of the lotion, they have for parasites. Ask a pharmacist, I'm sure they can help.
    Have a good one !.

Kwell, prescription. But.. I forget to mention to TerryAgree as well...PREGNANT WOMAN MAY HAVE NO CONTACT WITH KWELL, (advance nurse practitioner here...) if you are pregnant and your other kids get scabies..someone else has to deal with it and I would sure not recommend dad, he will just screw it up. I would suggest Grandma.... she'll do a better job at protecting that ynborn grandbaby and fixing up the other grandkids better than a spiritiual healer and clean better than a hazmat squad... thanks!

Yeah, Kwell lotion, that's how I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. I was wrongly accused of having scabies and was kicked out of school. I pray all goes well for you.
    Have a nice day !
