Your best friend confesses that he/she has feelings for you more than just friendship. He/she is falling in love with you. What do you (or did you) do/say?
My best friend is the same gender. I wouldn't end the friendship, but I'd let her know it was impossible for us to go beyond platonic friendship-and back off awhile to let her get over it.
Well, I hope I get a female best friend with lotsa commonality and some spark and that'd put us into relationship status. ...Right now, my best friend's a guy, so would be alarmed, but wouldn't hate him.
Well, that happened & now the man is my fiance. we have known each other for 11 yrs. for the past 5yrs we've been besties. During those past 5yrs, he has asked me to marry him 4 times, the 4th time was this past June, in July we announced our engagement. I CANNOT IMAGINE ANYTHING BETTER THEN MARRYING MY BEST FRIEND!
I think if I felt that there might be a little spark there, then I'd see where it might go. If I knew there was no chance, then I'd probably step back from the friendship until she found somebody else. I'm not saying avoid and pretend I'm not friends, just to distance myself a little. This is why I always say that men and women can't be friends. Sooner or later somebody will develop feelings.
It really depends on the situation >.> if I thought that we were both mature/close enough not to let it get in the way of our friendship if anything went wrong, I might give a relationship a try. I've dated a best friend before and now we're still friends, and close as we ever were.
(had it happen) I appreciate that, but I am married and cannot return the feeling to you that you have for me. You have been my best friend for 20 years and while it has been completely platonic, I made vows to my wife that are unbreakable, as well as I refuse to challenge the friendship we have. Our friendship means more to me that stepping into territory that would hurt my wife ad family and my friendship to you.
I have several close friends that are guys. I grew up with them. What I did if this happens all depends on my feelings. If I feel that way we date, if I don't, I am sensitively honest.
Im not sure because i always had a boyfriend with my friends and most of the friends that i have that are boys are shy like me so im not sure but u will get some advice from someone but i would tell him lets try it out
i really wouldnt wanna ruin our friendship for this but since she confessed its already kinda ruined right? soo if i was alone i guess i would give it a try
My best friend is a man. A real man. He's my friend so that is enough to tell you that this could never happen and if it did, I would never speak to him again.
And believe me I do know how to use it and do so anytime I see it happening.
Definition of BIGOT : a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance — big·ot·ed adjective — big·ot·ed·ly adverb
If I am single, I would say that I would give them a chance and see where the feelings would go. If I am ABSOLUTELY sure there would be no attraction there, I would explain it kindly but bluntly.
u always know that...
and tell her: Thank U for all that time you were having that feelings for me :)...
...but I Don't deserve YOU -_-
but i would tell him lets try it out
