Just as there are millionaires, normal people and poor, there are homeless and beggars. What is your everyday reaction on seeing one of the two?

I would either give him/her some money to buy food. Or, once when it was extremely cold, I brought the person into McDonald's and bought them a meal so they could sit in the warm restaurant for a while. And that way, I also knew he wouldn't spend it on something bad.

Yes, that is another option, safer and better for both sides. You know your money was well-spent and the one in question can have a decent meal.

It's all about the feeling I get at that particular time not all beggars are homeless and people can do some funny things with the things you give them out of compassion.

I've given them food, booze and money. I smile and talk with them. They are human beings and deserve respect and compassion. They call me their angel. I don't know about that one, lol!

Have a few around where we're out, they just seem to show up only during warm weather though. Either way, I point the to the local shelter and food pantry.

I'll usually give em some change or buy em lunch on my lunch break if I see em no very many where I live though and in an area with over 300,000+ people that's saying something

Yes, it is. It means the city you live in is filled mostly with successful, or at least half-successful people. But it's nice how you treat the ones not as lucky as you.

No it's because of the nearby old nuclear plant the money gained by cleaning it up supports our local economy which allows for more jobs just because your homeless or glhave to resort to charity doesn't mean your unsuccessful it can happen no matter what you do you can't always control what happens only do the best you can with what you got and hope for the best

I know that. By successful I mean lucky people. Please do not take it the wrong way, I did not mean to upset you. I guess that another fortunate, now that is, happening that people who were unemployed before have a chance to work again, making their lives at least a tiny bit better.

I have 2-5 beggars on every corner where I live... Sometimes I give them the rest of the joint im smoking or my left-overs from the night but I usually just ignore them. I would get swarmed like the bread lady in central park if I gave change to all the broken people in my city every time I was out.

Most of our beggars are able bodied with broken minds. A few pills later and we'd have ourselves one heck of a work force.

It doesn't matter how much I tell myself they are likely using the money for drugs or alcohol I can't ignore them or give them nothing. Besides who am I to judge.
