I don't think President Obama is the anti-Christ or anything of that ilk. I did not vote for him in 2008, but I was not particularly upset by his victory. The country he inherited had suffered severe economic distress in the year preceding his election. I was not particularly upset by any of the actual deeds in his first year in office; in fact, I thought he did pretty much what he said he'd do, except w/ regard to Iraq, where he did pretty much what McCain had said he himself would do, which was a reason I voted for him, hardly something to hold against BHO. I thought his Recovery policies were overly inflationary, but far from ridiculously so, and weren't really all that much more than those proposed by his Republican detractors. However, after that first year, President Obama continued to push Keynesian type relief without truly convincing evidence that a lot of it was going to do any good, and, IMHO, seemed to be hoarding Economic Recovery spending authority for use in future elections. My biggest disagreement, however, arose with his determination to push National Health Insurance. That is a program which, I will admit, did not appeal much to me in the first place, but, as the struggle unfolded, it was not my initial opposition that unsettled me the most. Rather,...

Rather, the thrust of what President Obama wanted, after the opposition of others - it was far from a mere political hit by Republicans - stalled his initial push, seemed to be not that he wanted something good, but that he wanted something that would pass. I don't know an awful lot about health insurance, but I've worked around government for more than 40 years, and I've never seen a program put together principally in contemplation of achieving passage that has worked well.

Bottom line? President Obama's foreign policy has been good in that he didn't do a lot of what he said he was going to do, in terms of how it varied from what McCain said he would do. And I'm not going to quibble w/ BHO's detractors, I don't like quibbling over a big picture, I give him a pass. President Obama's domestic economic recovery programs haven't worked. His supporter want to quibble about whose fault that is. As I just said, I don't like to quibble. This is a fail, the only question is how much of a fail. Last of all is BHO's gem: PPACA. As I said above, I don't buy into all the personal attacks on BHO, I've seen no evidence he wasn't born in Hawaii, I don't care how truly committed to the Christian faith he is, etc., but, all that said, I do think BHO is a politician in every cell of his body. Election Day 2012 is exactly four months from today. Why isn't Obama talking about PPACA? I'm really beginning to think that the outlines of the program being contemplated by the vast number of advisers I'd hope he has working on this, just don't have sufficient salable positives for him to spin them in his favor - his vast powers of public communication notwithstanding - for any extended period of time. That is scary. I'm not going to vote for the guy given a credible opponent, which Ronmney very much is.

thanks Cap ..I agree that obamacare is not saleable.. and particularly the huge increase in Medicare costs to pensioners.. they are going up in the next 2 years almost triple what they are now.. that is ludicrous in an environment where retirees have received little if any cost of living increase in pension (unlike government officials) and in fact the cost of living has increased by leaps and bounds in the past two years, most especially in the cost of food and utilities, the two most needy places pensioners must put their money. Doubling the cost of medicare would put many of them in dire straights to even live comfortably..
I researched obama for several years and I have much more concern than you seem to however, about Obama the man.. and his failed policies for this country..He has fulfilled the prophesy of his ineptness and not having the value system to lead our great country, one of the main reasons he needs to go..
