I still have them and they're so small that they probably will never need to be removed. Actually, the doctor that removed my brother at first thought I didn't have tonsils. That's how small they are (or maybe how unfit the doctor was to remove tonsils?).

Thought I would have to have them out a couple of years ago when I had a really bad sore throat for like 4 days. It got to the point when I couldn't even swallow, and at that point I had to get help. They gave me massive doses of antibiotics, and I was able to swallow again, and then, about a day later, start talking again.
