After this long they are still keeping the attention of their followers. Seems they are doing great. Couldn't have cast a better group and that they seem to honestly love each other off set.
Several years ago my wife had to leave the room because I was screaming at the TV.
Reason.. Between 1979 and 1986, while serving in the Navy Reserve, I was assigned as an Evidence Analyst (NON-Agent status) with NIS/NISCOM (which is now NCIS).
I find that though in profession normally don't like the shows because they're unrealistic and give people false expectations. I knew a guy that does something similar to some of the CSI show stuff... he really dislike the CSI show..
But from a purely entertainment value people seem to like it or be alright with it.
Just wondering, How does the show insult the service?. .
Unlike allot of TV shows with a law Enforcement theme, that at least have technical advisers on the set, the show (or at least the half of the one NCIS episode that I saw) bears absolutely no resemblance to what the Investigation Branch actually is.
But I'm not just picking on NCIS. Since my service as a Deputy with our County Sheriff's Department, I drive my wife crazy pointing out all of the exaggerations and mistakes on the TV Cop shows that we do watch.
I understand completely, having spent 25 yrs in the Fire Service I simply cannot watch anything about it. Backdraft and Ladder 49 were BS. I think that it's true of any RL career vs TV/movies.
But then on the other hand I love NCIS, really the only TV show that I watch regularly. Then like I said, I was in the fire service, not law enforcement.
You've got to respect a woman that can kill you like 20 different ways and not leave a trace! Hehehe! How can you not like miss Abby? And I sure love that car she drives too.

I found the show totally insulting to the Service, and it makes me wonder how it could survive as long as it has on TV.
But then again, there is always the “comic relief” factor.
