It's amazing how many answered no on this post. I wonder if someone actually came to their door with a certified check or a $10,000 bill, would they change their minds.? You are right, pets are more loving and loyal then most people. I miss all the pets throughout my life.
Our pets traveled almost everywhere with us, even on planes. My mother however, did not like us having pets. I had a pet parakeet as a young teen that was it.
OMG, Strawberry, pert near parallel events in life!, oh my, lol… Parakeets are so cool, well other than the fact that they crap every fifteen minutes or so… : )
LOL! While married we had five large dogs, about 10 cats, Gerbels, ducks, and a pony all at the same time. Some of the dogs I took from shelters, or found them injured; once found a dog in a dumpster. As a child I had two pet Roosters. They were hilarious.
To be financially compensated for committing a supremely immoral act against an innocent and loyal companion is something that I wouldn't want to live with for the rest of my life.
I had a German Shepherd and a black Lab years ago.
Both protected me and my family. Nobody could get near our house without them starting to bark. They were in my yard but protected me and my kids.
As soon as I get a house, I plan to get me a trained dog that they now have to detect when a person is about to have a seizure. My kids are all grown and living on their own. The only one here besides hubby is my grandson, but he is in school.
$10,000 could be used, yes constructively. But, having a dog to protect and watch out for me when nobody is else around is priceless.
but i don't have one already.

The only way someone is taking my pup is over my cold dead body.
IF I had a pet NO of course!!
